I don't know a lot about crypto, so I'm not asking this as a rhetorical question. What reason would someone have to buy a coin like this? It seems like every one of these I hear about results in huge sums of money being lost by those who buy them.

This was clearly an obvious scam, but let's not throw all of crypto under the bus because of it. Bitcoin just crossed $100k, you have been proven foolish to have ignored it calling it a scam for the last 15 years.

As far as I know with these meme coins sometimes they spike in price early on before going to hell. So if you get in early and sell fast you an make a profit.

If you are lucky and someone like Elon Musk or whatever tweets about it that's even better. It's going to go from being worth 0.0001 cents to 0.001....which is like a 900% increase.

But it's basically gambling at that point
