The earbuds I used were the stock pair that come with the phone. Actually, they are my wife's, as mine died a few months back. I know they're not the best, but I've never had my phone completely wonk out on me like that before. Having the phone randomly go into voice control mode made me think that it wasn't the earbuds to blame. I really have no idea. I'll try it out again tonight though.

The new update is nice, but I agree, I still wish they would do just a bit more to service the serious runners. Although to be fair, I haven't checked out that zombielink thing and I don't know what kind of info they post on there. It should be available in-app though. But at least we know the developers are trying to make it better. You say there are new seasons coming? I had no idea. That's really great news!

I also scared the shit out of some poor woman on a bike last night. I was stopped at a red light when a zombie horde was detected. I couldn't wait for the light so I turned around and started sprinting the way I came and there was a woman right behind me who seemed really shaken up by my erratic running patterns. Kinda funny though. She actually startled me a bit, too.

I am SO jealous. iPod Touch users don't ever get the zombie hordes because it, too, uses GPS. I mean, there is literally NO reason the accelerometer couldn't at least cover that that I can think of.

It really is an amazing app. Like 4 days after I bought it I saw it went like 80% off for the Labor day weekend, but I'm not even mad. It's totally worth the $8 and I'm glad to support them. I just can't wait for more content, and I'm not one who typically buys iAP.

I downloaded Modern Combat 3 and I'm stuck.

I'm at an early part in the single player mission. I've downloaded the data of the computer in Mission 1 and now I have to follow my team. But there's a chair blocking the way and I can't get past?!??! I'm some super, hard-assed soldier yet my game progress is being blocked by a chair!

What do I do?

Disappointed there weren't more sales this Labor Day weekend.

Same. The main thing I was hoping to see go on sale was Batman.

But I did manage to try out MC3. It's good -- I can see why people like it -- but it's not for me. Dead Trigger works for me because it's arcadey, but the controls just don't do it for me in competitive play. And it sure as hell ain't worth the 2GB of space it demands. It's already gone. Random Heroes was pretty much a piece of shit. Can't, for the life of me, figure out why a game with those graphics experiences so much slowdown. Also gone.

Simogos (Bumpy Road, Beat Sneak Bandit) new game is Year Walk.

In the old days man tried to catch a glimpse of the future in the strangest of ways.
Experience the ancient Swedish phenomena of year walking through a different kind of first person adventure that blurs the line between two and three dimensions as well as reality and the supernatural.

Venture out into the dark woods where strange creatures roam, in a vision quest set in 19th century Sweden. Control and interact with the world, objects and creatures in every way you can think of in your search to bend the rules of the universe and open the rift that separates our world and what lies beyond it.

Mysteries and clues awaits everywhere in Year Walk, but to fully understand the events that took place on that cold New Year's Eve players will have to delve deeper than the adventure and lose themselves between fact and fiction

First trailer.

The Touch Arcade app is now universal, that's nice. It's a pretty good app. I've used the iPhone version on my iPad quite a few times.

What's the benefit of the app for those of us who find the writing on Touch Arcade the equivalent of getting yelled at by someone with the language skills of a toddler? Does it do something like Appshopper but better?

It's a million times better than using their horrible website and the way that it tracks the 'hot new games' off of forum posts and page views is pretty handy. It lets you know what games everyone at TA is talking about without actually having to view their forum. I think it also has some functions like app shopper.

yeah, and shamefully TA is probably the best place for news and stuff. I do try and use slidetoplay as the main source but TA just has more manpower to it ;/

Agreed. I don't read TA for the journalism. It's just a decent method of catching up on news, and the app is super slick and fast.

I am hooked on this game Clever Clear Click $0.99 (iPad only)
mzl.dizkaglv.480x480-75.jpg

It is a high-score color-matching game where you touch the spot that the two similarly colored balls could intersect. Each game lasts 2 minutes, but every incorrect touch deducts time.

The game is extremely simple, has basic graphics and sounds, and a really annoying background picture...but I can't stop playing... A big part of the draw is that my parents (who introduced me to the game) have a score of 191, and the highest I have gotten is 141.

Score-attack GAF, enjoy!

I didn't care for hunters 1 too much, but I played the intro of 2 on lunch and had a good time. Is this one more plot-centered? I can get behind that!

I tend to use TA for their forums-if I need help with a specific game or seeing if other people are experiencing the same issue, etc.

Some greatness this month. We already got Walking Dead 2 and Bastion and we should get King of Dragon Pass, Jet Set Radio, Bad Piggies and Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition.

And I'm the only one here who have major trouble finishing ANY game on iOS?

Which games would be nice playing on the rumored 8" iPad Mini on the go?
I could imagine games like solitaire, wordfeud, bastion etc.

I thought the iOS version of JSR didn't have a specific release date beyond Q3 2012 yet, did they confirm it for this month? The september dates seem to be only for the console and PC versions, with Vita in october.

I only read PocketGamers article about it having a summer release.

isn't real racing 2 supposed to be good?

I posted Reckless Racing 2. But if you're asking for real, yeah that's a good game too :P

So I won a TWEWY code from Square Enix. Only prob. is that it's the iPad version, and I want the iPhone version. I dunno if anyone wants to buy it off me for $18? Heh. Or can gift me a iPhone version

I've been looking all over for news on Baldur's Gate iOS which was supposed to be at Pax Prime. The big sites haven't mentioned anything about it, or Street Fighter x Tekken iOS. Were these games no-shows? Can anyone who went to PAX Prime talk about any indie games they might have glimpsed on the floor?

EDIT: saw the SFxTekken video two pages back. Still no word on Baldur's Gate iOS...
