It's a nice site but it's hardly a replacement for TA. It's focussed solely on strategy games (as the name implies) so you'll miss the entirety of the rest of the iOS library.
It's perfect for AstroLad though!
Yeah, I saw a post from the publisher announcing this yesterday (on the TA forums, ironically).
They didn't mention an official date . . . but someone on BGG said it was already submitted, and if so could be out as early as this week.
So Swordigo is surprisingly good fun! It doesn't look like much, it has simple mechanics but damned if I don't get sucked into it every time I play. They've absolutely nailed the controls and jumping physics which I think is a large part of it. Great little game.
I tried out MotoHeroz, since it's currently free, but I can't get into it... Mainly because I hate the upgrade system. It's just too annoying that you can do a perfect run on a track, but only get one star because you haven't earned enough coins to upgrade your car enough to get a good time. Deleting.
I was thinking about the top iOS game discussion that took place a few pages back, and I thought of a cool system we can use (maybe it sucks bad?)
Instead of voting on a top 10 or 20 list, we should ask the question to the voter: you can only fit 10 games on your device right now which games are those? I think it would give a mix of genres and old and new titles. It's not a best ever list, we did that already, but instead if you were forced to only have 10 games on your device, I assume the person would want a mix of stuff...match 3's, RPGs, adventure, endless runner, game of the moment, some classics and so on.
This is what I like to see, not sure if anyone feels the same, but to me I would like to see what people want to play instead of what they feel is just the best. I know that sounds stupid lol
For those that missed it the last time, freemyapps has a $10 iTunes gift card up in their "Gifts" section for 3000 points. They went pretty fast last time though, so you may want to hurry if you were interested.
That was a pretty mediocre review. Then again, I imagine TA writers don't get paid very well.Speaking of TA, that Nova 3 review.

So much words used to explain nothing about actual game stuff like level design and controls and other 'important stuff' lol.
Thanks for recommending, it's good.I rarely get addicted to iOS stuff, but Montowers is very fun. I'm at the 3rd tower right now, and I have collected a lot of cool monsters. Good game to play it in short busts, and the IAP so far is not required at all.
Yeah Motoheroz is pretty poopy. Reminds me of how good Bike Baron is.
Having played both extensively, I think Motoheroz poops all over Bike Baron, especially in the handling stakes.
What in the hell is it? From what I can see, it looks like Minecraft (which I've never played) but a little more playful? I'm hoping it's offline only, because the idea of all that world-building stuff really only appeals to me if I can just faff around doing nothing.I've drifted back into 'Eden - World Builder'. I can't believe the level of post-release support this title has had. It's almost a whole new title compared to the version I bought on day 1. I've tried Minecraft PE and Junk Jack but neither of them is as easy to use and chilled out as Eden. Some great levels out there to download too.
Anyone looking for a world-building game would do well to check out 'Eden'.

Just don't tell me it's as pointless and brain-numbing as Power of Coin. True to my word, I deleted it after I hit level 500 (well, level 550) and haven't missed it since. Just the hours I wasted on it in the first place.
Which is the best game published in last few days?
I haven't played PoC since that conversation. I think I purged my desire by confessing my sins.

Well, they care about the platform. Just not very much:I'd like something close to REZ or Child of Eden on iOS.
Too bad Q Entertainment doesn't give a shit about the platform... where's my Meteos (don't care about Lumines, sorry)? :[

panama chief's codes from beyond the grave are hilarious. I'm sure there are a few people quietly seething.
I've never heard of Scotland Yard but it seems to have all the hallmarks of a great port. Even has voice chat? I'll have to give it a whirl.

Why would people be angry? I think sladeums is doing a great job of giving stuff away without being disruptive.
Like I said before, the boardgame is awesome, but relies heavily on coordination between the detectives and gets a lot of its appeal from there. If the port is good and includes good chat (e.g. Chat between all players/detective only), then I can see this being a great addition to our boardgame list and to iOS in general
Supposedly the iOS port has multiplayer with voice chat, which might be a first for iOS.
Thank you. I am making a concentrated effort to do so in as subdued a manner as possible. Why would people be angry? I think sladeums is doing a great job of giving stuff away without being disruptive.
I'd check around first and make sure it's working ok now.I just read the review of Gratuitous Space Battles on TA. This looks exactly like what I was looking for when I asked if there were any Carnage Heart clones on the app store.
Gratuitous Space Battles would appear to be a fairly well know PC title.

There's a Meteos clone called Mini Meteors. You might want to try that.I'd like something close to REZ or Child of Eden on iOS.

Too many games to play between Ascension, NS Hex, some PC game that starts with D... because of that here are a few FREE codes I no longer have a need for. Quote to reveal and as always, have fun!
