Ok... so more thoughts on that VR Mission HD app...

I bought it because I'm a sucker for MGS, and this kinda looked like that. Let me tell you, it's not and is complete shit. Why? Because after the first few levels, it becomes a block moving puzzle game with busted mechanics. The picture below explains everything.

What happens, is that the blocks get out of alignment and eventually you can't do anything anymore. You can only push, not pull.


It also has a virtual joystick, but you can only move up/down/left/right (no diagonal), making the joystick even more worthless. But basically, just save your money. It's not a good game.

Then you have misspellings like this in the game:

really surprised that the only MGS we have on iOS is a gallery shooter. Seems like a port of MGS Acid or at least some VR missions would make sense.

I'm not in the US and I don't use the US store but I still can't get Law and Order either through my phone or iTunes. The modify problem seems to affect the US store more if we go by this thread (at least with the Flickpig examples), but the entire app store feels wack these past few days in random ways/moments (updates acting weird, etc), I hope it goes back to normal soon.

Don't discount Valentine's Day as a possible excuse for sales. I'm hoping to see some of Gameloft's stuff go on sale, namely DH2 and Starfront Collision.

I've also only just discovered that you really need to crank the sensitivity up to 100% for the button control. Even then it still feels sluggish at times

Best one I've tried is ピクロジ by Hangame. Amazing presentation overall, it even features music by the Japanese chiptune band YMCK - and it's free to boost. Can't really go wrong with this one.

Spice Invaders is good and is free. It has excellent presentation.

Gem Keepers is currently free and apparently pretty good according to a lot of feedback I've read about it. There's also The Creepers but it's basic.

Crosslogic HD on iPad is the best Picross game I've ever played. Yes, better than the DS games.

The large screen means you don't have to scroll around the puzzle constantly.

I think you get 5 mistakes per puzzle before it fails, but they also have a hint system. You earn a hint for each puzzle solved, and can store up to 9 max. When you use a hint, it reveals one horizontal and vertical line in the puzzle.

The game has 1256 puzzles included, just checked.

I'm the exact opposite. With no chance for failure, there's no pressure. I like the challenge, I guess.
