Should I add Tetris and mirrors edge to my collection for that price.
So I picked up pocket RPG.. It's pretty damn fun but it doesn't fit on the screen of my new iPad.
Am I missing something??

Yum. Cannot wait for the multiplayer update. Shouldn't be too long, now.

Is there an iOS game that's similar to Intelligent Qube?
Is 148apps a joke? 3 and 1/2 stars for an app that is unplayable due to lag and missing an advertised feature?

can you buy something remotely for downloading on your ipad etc? Eg buy it while at work, but not on a registered computer?
I'll keep that in mind for future. I'd bought Angry Birds Space anyway when it didn't work, so I was happy to give the code away regardless. You could've just made a free US account with no problems, that's what everyone does :x
What's the verdict on Pirates! on the iPad? One of the titles I was interested in when it came out but I didn't have an iPad back then.
Also any impressions on the Bards Tale?
So I went ahead and took the deal on King Of Dragon Pass... what's the general opinion, is it the ultimate old school crpg or what?
This reminded me that I put off buying this earlier in the year. Corrected that the moment I saw this post.
Any word on retina for iPad in the multiplayer update?
I can't stress enough to devs: post-release support can make or break your momentum, and is so important for success on the platform, particularly if you don't have a lot of visibility and need to build a (cult) following. Vlambeer really blew it this year with the issues they had with Super Crate Box. Plenty of hype, the score table game of choice with a dedicated high scores Twitter (run by someone outside of Vlambeer) and the promise of updates with new indie characters kind of made it the default arcade game for people that are into that stuff. That was all squandered when this coming update took months to get out. There's no rebuilding that community.
One game I am excited about is Outwitters from the Tilt to Live devs. Asynchronous battles with league play and 2v2 GAF games. Yes please.
Definitely depends on what game you're making, but we'll be very hesitant about making any big content updates. For me, I'd rather spend that time making new things. Also, I think updates can feel sorta history revisionistic, but that's another story...
Perhaps I am remembering incorrectly, but I thought this game Legend of Grimrock, was going to be an iOS dungeon crawler. I got a tweet from them yesterday that announced their PC pre-sale. No mention of iOS anywhere on their site.
if they decided to break off their mobile design
The world of iOS/Android reviews is laughtable at best. We complain about the lack of professionality of some reviewers on console/PC games, but in smartphone, there is a lot of glorified shit. Also the reverse, some great games completly ignored.
New team and universal update out for Hero Academy soon. The Tribe looks interesting definetly a change in play style. Corpse explosion makes me happy!

If you had said that in 2010 I would have agreed with you. I'm not sure that is true anymore. The two massive Bumpy Road updates we made was barely worth it for us (other than that they really added some neat stuff that I'm super proud of and wouldn't want to have undone. Plus, it was a good way for us to thank everyone for the insane amount of support we got for that title).

Metacritic top games is mostly all iOS now since it seems like every reviewer gives a pretty good game a 5/5 or something.
You crazy kids in any place to hint as to what is coming up next? =D
Also, The Tribe looks and sounds fantastic. Hero Academy is easily my favorite iOS game. Nothing else comes close!
Yep. Anomaly Warzone Earth has a 94!! on iOS, and 80 on PC, for example. And, well, other in high 90's (94-93) include Scrabble for iPad, Super Skyhook, Countre Jour, Jet Car Stunts and others that are not even great iPhone games.
Funny that real amazing games, like Superbrothers Sword & Sorcery only has a metacritic of 86. Why? Because they were reviewed not only by iOS only pages, they were reviewed in all kind of videogame pages.
Blueprint 3D is free for iPhone
sort of dumb puzzle game that I kinda enjoyed

Update: Hero Academy's Twitter account just said that unless there is an approval problem the update will be out sometime next week. Glad I can finally play on the iPad without being on 2x mode.
Jet Car Stunts is arguably the best iOS game ever. It absolutely deserves its high review scores. And though it would obviously look better if ported to a traditional console, like the xbox 360, it's controls would be so much worse that it would overall be a downgrade.Yep. The creators of Warp Dash just released a minimalistic futuristic racer-ish thing. Just like Warp Dash, I do not recommend it. Don't be fooled by the pretty screens. Lacks polish and has a poor framerate on the iPhone 4.
Any decent WW2 tile based strategy games on the ipad? Like Hearts of Iron and such? Empire II?
Also, why does gaf format improperly on this beautiful ipad?
