World of Goo is the must have iPad app for me

Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery and Machinarium are must haves if you like adventure games.

Other than that Jetpack Joyride is one of my favorite simple bite-sized games.

Im sure there are others I am missing.
 
lol I can't believe Dash was banned again this quickly. :( Anyone knows if this time it's a perma? I hope not.
 
Anyone notice Bug Princess 2 appears full screen on the iPad in the trailer? I assumed it'd be the same as the first game, and considering they released the two HD games at $10+ I doubt it'll look as good as those.

I don't remember if it happened with those achievements in particular but more than once I'd fill a requirement and the achievement would take a long time to be marked in my GC profile and inside the game itself. It will pop there eventually, a couple of them took hours to register for me.

FYI-I came up with a workaround that resolved this-

I installed the game to my iPad... (My original save file was on my iPhone)

I then launched the game on my iPad, and signed into GameCenter.

I then deleted the game from my iPad, which prompted me to choose if I wanted to delete it from Gamecenter as well-which I did.

I then went back to my iPhone, launched the game, signed into Gamecenter-and boom-all my achievements immediately showed up.

Glad that worked! I didn't even think of doing something like that, good idea. Excellent game, just a tad annoying that it has this issue.

Yeah it's a universal app but probably not "HD". The benefits of being universal is not having the black borders in 2x mode, not having the 2x button around to accidentally press while playing, and depending on screen size you use it should look slightly better than an iPhone app cause it'd be scaled from the original resolution, rather original to 2x to another scale.

The only Achievement I have left is to finish the final boss fight in like 150 seconds or whatever-which seems impossible...
 
So with Baulder's Gate being ported to iOS, is there any chance that Knights of the Old Republic get the same treatment? I think it would do quite nicely on an iPad.

Yeah I don't mind the way Bug Princess is done, better than standard iPhone only versions they started with.

I am super hyped for Futari/BP2. I'll pretty much buy whatever Cave releases. Have they said anything about other games coming up? I know this one has been expected for a while.

Yeah, that one takes quite a bit of practice and you pretty much can't waste a single second. He always does the same sequence of attacks so after you memorize exactly what to do against each of his moves it's more a matter of getting it all right in one go.
 
Just bought Fibble. Cute little game that looks great, although it should be noted that it looks pretty grainy/low resolution on the new iPad. For $5 i kinda wish it was universal because I prefer accelerometer-enabled games on a handset, but oh well... Still a very high quality title.

The text is *tiny* (but still readable), but other than that it looks great IMO. The details of the spotes (is that what they are called) comes out very nicely.

I tried looking for a YouTube video that shows it-but to no avail. It's nearly impossible to commit to memory 10 different patterns in a row!

Cool thanks...I may have to rebuy it then. It's decent enough on the iPhone...just a bit cramped.

No clue, I guess the closest thing to a hint would be that they sold Ketsui iPhone cases a while back but that was a while ago, even before Deathsmiles I think.

If they want to milk their existing franchises on iOS there's still the first Espgaluda and Deathsmiles II. Other stuff that's already been ported could be other candidates...and that's a decent list depending how far you go back (Ibara, Pink Sweets, Muchi Muchi Pork, Guwange, Ketsui, Akai Katana). There's also DDP Maximum but I figure that's probably a timed exclusive for a while.

It's kind of masochistic, not gonna lie. I kept retrying from the start whenever I got a part wrong and I used a browser-based timer to keep track of how well I was doing, eventually the first few moves were second nature and I only had to worry about the second half. At one point I even started giving nicknames to the patterns and repeating them in my mind.

Unsurprisingly it was one of the achievements that took a bit to register for me, I kept wondering it I didn't manage until it finally appeared.

I have Carc and TtR but never played it much because my GC list was so weak. Plan on getting into it immediately. And I guess I should get Ascension too?

You should get in on Hero Academy, man. It is the business.

EDIT: Holy shit, just saw what Ascension is. SO BOUGHT.

Off to check out Kids vs Goblins then since I own the rest of those on other platforms (other than Pirates! but I'm not interested in that).
 
Anyone see the fix list for the NSS update? Holy hell, so many things I'd never considered were added!

Can someone elaborate on the blackjack "bust" bug?
 
WTF I just looked up Ascension, I knew it sounded familiar, Purchased. I used to play MTG a lot. I got an invite to Nationals but kinda just fell out of it, this is going to be awesome. Add me to GC : C0ttonBaller

Oh and I just picked up an Ipad 3 last weekend and have been absolutely loving it so far, this is my first Ipad and I can't figure out why it took me so long to purchase one. (L)

Wow. So much good stuff, ESPECIALLY the sponsor-decrease is smaller and gets influenced by star rating, that was ridiculous upkeep before.

Also, shots on target now count as such, I love it.

Overall, AWESOME update, lots of needed and adressed bugfixes.
 
Ok so I exchanged my 16gb new iPad for a 32gb...I restored from cloud...when firing up modern combat 3 I now get a "this title might have been obtained illegally" and screen goes black...anyone have any ideas?
 
Just bought Dead Space for 0,79 euro. It looks quite nice and the controls work well.
If you love DS on the consoles, this seems like a no brainer to me.

Finished: Swords & Sorcery btw...what an amazing experience ( especially music and graphics )
