RE: Crow. After spending almost an hour with it, I'm a little disappointed with it tbh. I find the core mechanic of floating over the landscape to be really slow, and looking for trinkets gives me that frustrated feeling I used to get in the pixel hunt games of yore. Nothing is more annoying than combing an area over again and again, not knowing where the last trinket is. The on rails sections are a lot better but they feel really shallow so far.
The fight with the Scarecrow (the first big boss) left me a bit bewildered. I flew around for a bit, did some attacks that didn't seem to accomplish anything and then a screen came up with the two options. I honestly don't know if my attacks caused the screen to come up, or if it would have come up anyway had I just flown around ignoring the boss.
On the plus side the music is great, and the cutscenes with the crow are gorgeous. The ingame visuals don't quite match up to that though, they have that same bleached and overly colour corrected feel that games like Kids vs Goblins have. The first level looks OK but its a bit too yellow.
Anyway, my feelings on it may change as I play more, but going in with OMG BEST IOS GAME EVER is a bad place to start from. Far more impressed by Lost Winds, given the time I played them toay.
