Don't know how spoilery this quetsion is, but is the game as emotionally charged and moving as the previous games? For example in SotC you always had that feeling of loneliness and desolation, and in Ico a strong feeling of companionship and childhood/youth permeated the atmosphere, is The last Guardian as powerful as those games in this regard?
You'll have to wait for me to wrap it up for today! I'm really really trying to finish the game. I don't play games during the week and I can't wait another week to see this wrapped up.

I don't think it's that shocking. The devs had a vision from the start, and this is the same version that fans have always wanted. The game itself never changed.
I don't also care that much for framerate (only tearing I find terrible). I still remember upgrading my old 486 PC so that I could finally bump up the framerate in the settings menu of Geoff Crammond's Grand Prix from 15 fps I always had with the old processor to the maximum of 25 fps which was SO mindblowing I thought I d'never would need more than 25 fps in a game for the rest of my life.
Many of the impression from the websites at E3 didn't. Unless reviewers are completely different and are fine with it the game will at least lose 1-1.5 due to this. I hope I'm wrong tho.
That was more than 10 years ago. I'm not sure the standards back then are the same as now.
Did anyone get the CE early? Still deciding on whether I'm keeping my preorder. Kinda feels like I'm obligated to buy it since I have the beautiful Team ICO collection LE they released in Japan.

Familiar themes are present in The Last Guardian, only supported with a sense of devotion and companionship. I can't imagine I would have felt the same way about Trico (and The Last Guardian) if I didn't have a siamese cat named Arthur that I basically imprinted onto Trico's behavior. Facially they even kind of look similar.
Over the last week my wife would walk by and ask if I was playing the game with "Big Arthur" in it.
I don't know how to answer that question properly without spoiling it, but what you're looking for is there - only not in the place you may expect to find it.
This is some next level shit about them feels. In just seconds, totally out of nowhere, something happened that touched me quite. Yeah not only I love Trico. The Fucker loves me too.
For those playing, talking about that section about 7 (slow) hours in where
an armour is going to catch you, in a floating corridor of sorts, as you try to pry open a door behind which waits Trico, but the enemy gets you and Trico smashes the door. The boy says he knew what to do: run and leave the beast behind, as the floor crumbles. Yeah, right, lol. Them loves.
Those not playing do not even click that. Not story but an awesome moment. At least to me.
I know about the pet button, but I need a hug button.

Oh wow, are you making the official thread then? It would be an honour. Never had a suggestion used for an OT before, let alone my most anticipated game of the generation.

I actually enjoy hearing things like this. I don't want the game to get as obtuse or frustrating as old school adventure game puzzles could get but I also don't like puzzles that take absolutely no critical thinking at all *cough cough* Uncharted *cough cough*
if someone in here finished the game...i need some hints (via pm). pretty sure i know what to do, but it doesnt let me do it. just want to make sure if its is a bug or my own stupidity.

I haven't finished, about 9 hours in, but I'm slow so my 9h may be less hours for all of you. You are very near the end? I guess I am quite arriving but not so there, so if you think you're past me don't pm. If you think it's safe, feel free.
...And I'm stuck too, lol. I think I know where to go, but not how, yet.
I thought I had got stuck before in another place but I think I just found a bug, a very annoying and confusing one, because I was doing something that clearly was the solution but didn't work until a thousand times. Then I had to repeat in other place and it wasn't working so I thought it could be a bug and restarted checkpoint and... Voilá.
This was, and you'll know where I'm because it's just past that, in the section where you and Trico
have to dive underwater twice. The underwater gate was open but when diving he just went back up as if it was shut.
