'The Last of Us: Remastered' coming to PS4, July 2014, [1080p, targeting 60 fps]

I tried to search and found nothing, but didn't someone (maybe Straley) say the making-of documentary will be included? Yeah, I know it's free on YouTube (along with the Left Behing follow up making-of), I just think it'd be cool to watch it off a Blu-Ray disc. Then (as someone pointed out earlier in the thread), Troy Baker said his audition might be in there. I'd also like to see that "alternate ending" included. Troy Baker said he hopes it will be fully animated one day. Perhaps a hint that it got that treatment? Also, I loved the videos in Uncharted that allowed you to watch the raw mo-cap sessions compared to the final results. I hope, maybe, just maybe they did the same here.

I always wondered how it must feel to be an artist working on one of these games, and have your work muddied behind the technical limitations of a console that blurs your work behind sub-par resolutions, lacks proper filtering, AA, etc. And then suddenly to have your work remastered and be able to see everything you toiled so hard on in crisp clear detail.

Like, I wonder if that gives an extra sense of pride to be able to see your work in that sort of glory.

I believe they said in the day one patch the making of would be added to the extras menu or something similar.

I think that is exactly why so many at ND have been so high on this release. The combination of letting the art really shine and at a higher framerate must feel like what they wanted to convey the whole time.

I'm watching a stream on playstation live and it's looking mighty fine. :] It actually does look like an early PS4 gen title which make you forget it was a PS3 title originally. The quality of the animation in cutscenes is mindblowing. o_O

Yeah, it must be satisfying for them to make the game again without any restraints, even more so knowing people will be playing it as it was originally intended, instead of playing a diluted version full of compromises.

if the stream's are up can we see a trophy list? Will it be the same value's as the PS3? Even that MP silver trophy rain? Is it one list or is it sectioned off for each dlc?

It was a great preview of what to expect, however. Certainly far more than anything ND has given us up until now.

How does that even work? I get why streams of brand new games are shut down - developers and publishers don't want their game being spoiled or whatever reason they may have, but... this is a remastered version of a game that was released just over a year ago? Eh. Whatever the case, I'm not worried about the game or anything like that -- just think it's odd that streams are being taken down for this title in particular.

Technically the game is already released right? Why would they ban people from streaming, it's the exact same content as the game that has been out for over a year now.

No pre-load and 50GB*

* may not be accurate, it's info from the streamer I heard.

I wonder what kind of setup they need to have to get the game to preload. I mean, some games can do it. :( It'll be alright i guess... set it up to download, go to work, by the time i get home it'll be all good :D

It's not because there is any particular technical reason that is specific to The Last of Us.

They took people's money before the pre-load system was in place and because PSN is garbage they can't transfer individual purchases over to a pre-load aware purchase.
