I really hope this turns out true. I'm hyped about 60fps but my expectations for the actual graphics upgrade are still fairly low. I truly hope ND shatters my expectations.

Would be nice if they got around to showing gameplay. What they have shown so far have been marginal improvements to cutscenes.

Nope, there's quite a few gameplay snippets on the trailer.

Make sure to watch the 1080p/60fps trailer, too, not Gamespot's shitty comparison!

I've seen the Gamersyde version and to be honest the only thing really noticeable was the framerate and resolution.

Didn't notice many asset changes, if any at all.

But that's what they changed, the framerate and resolution, no?

And the cutscene character models were put into gameplay. There's nothing else to show, as far as I know.

If it looks like the E3 trailers, that tweet reads like hyperbole. The game looked good there, but what I saw was an upres with cleaner textures, not something on the level of Infamous.

I started playing Factions again last night. I forgot how much I like this MP. I also forgot I had a challenge and needed to spot people so I lost %100 of my clan in week 10.

I forgot how much I don't care for the structure of the MP

No.

From the Naughty Dog blog on the announcement of the remaster:

Moving our efforts to the PS4 has allowed us to remaster an already phenomenal looking The Last of Us in 1080p with a list of upgrades including higher resolution character models, improved shadows and lighting, and upgraded textures, along with even more improvements.

This is crazy if you think about it, how little we've seen and it's likely going gold in the next 10 days...still excited.

One of my personal favorite multiplayer games of last year. 60fps with more precise controls and potentially less input lag makes me very excited for this game!

Was there any gameplay released of TLoU that wasn't the E3 demo before release? I know most of the trailers were just snippets lf cutscenes from summer.

Well that's what happened the first time. Still remember seeing that leaked mp gameplay video the weekend before the game came out. It looked like crap. Holy fuck was I wrong.

Yep. It's time to see a good quality gameplay video comparison side by side or something. Or then some 60fps gameplay. Know what, how about them screenshots even? Yep, still excited.

...nothing happens. You play together maybe two or three times. And then it doesn't work out. Not the same online times, sometimes it's tech, sometimes "I'm in a great game right now, see you later" etc. - that is basically my multiplayer life in a nutshell. Except KZ2 GAFe clan, that was awesome. Btw, WHERE ARE YOU FFO. :(

I took a couple screencaps of the real time sequences from the Gamersyde video. They were mostly to show that motion blur was still intact and it looks like it's been improved to be the same kind they used in cutscenes in the original release. It looks really heavy in these shots but that was just when I took them. It's shutter adjusted for 60fps so in motion it looks like it's barely there.

Character models are the same in cutscenes and gameplay now but unfortunately the trailer is compressed to the point where it's tough to make out improvements to other assets.

Hopefully they'll have better textures across the board. Not sure why, but I'm a HUGE slut for textures. Out of all things related to graphical fidelity, they are the thing I pay attention the most :)

Anyone from the UK.

It's $49.99 on the US store.

A $50 PSN code on playasia is just £31.67

Plus I think the US one is uncensored? I think? Anyone, it's cheaper than the UK store and UK physical copies

I didn't think UK was censored? What's the UK store price...I suspect £40?

I think as this is the whole game (and all DLC) seems like a nice option....esp if true about censorship...

Cheers, so I guess the question is "is there a reason not to get the US version?"

Only thing is if they do discount previous owners (unlikely) - I have to say the lack of UK price on PSN is really disappointing
I think the PS4 version is still missing some MP DLC (DLC weapon skills, DLC survival skills, and the DLC MP cosmetics) so that might be something to consider. If you don't care about that or don't mind buying them on a US account then might as well get the US version.

So since retailers are dropping the price to $49.99, does that mean that those of us who prepaid $59.99 for the digital version are screwed? Or do we get a refund for the difference?

Please don't punish me for preordering, Sony :(

EDIT: Sony confirmed we'll be getting refunds! Yay!

That depends on the retailer. If you ordered through Amazon they will absolutely refund your money.

Really hope they do something with the water. Stood out like a sore thumb in the PS3 version. At least the stagnant water did.

The game looked great on PS3. Even with "Just" the 1080P, 60FPS, Cutscene Models, HD Textures, and some upgraded shadows, the game will look fucking amazing.

If I make a new US Sony Account, purchase the game on that, I assume I'll be able to sign into my main UK account and play the uncensored version on my PS4.

Taking it a step further, though, I have my PS Vita configured to my main UK account. Will I be able to remote-play into my PS4 as my own UK account and still play the US game?

Yes to both, you just have to make sure you activate the system as the Primary System on the US account.

How the hell did they get that out of a PS3.

I agree the game looked pretty good on PS3, but some of those shots are somewhat misleading. All of those but two or three were taken off screen it seems. The game had some bad AA (that was dynamic), and the motion blur hardly ever was that perfect. The textures were also pretty bad on everything that wasn't a character.

The game looked good on PS3, but the improved resolution and framerate will definitely make it MUCH better.

Haven't played it on ps3, yesterday i preordered the ps4 version as soon as i discovered it was priced "only" 50€.
I don't like stealth games so much but i love games with a good story, i'm sure i'll like this.

Yup, you can definitely see the attention to detail they put into the game, but the general IQ was pretty low, and the framerate was pretty bad too. I'm prepared to have my mind blown with the PS4 doing the amazing art justice.
