'The Last of Us: Remastered' coming to PS4, July 2014, [1080p, targeting 60 fps]

To be honest that's the biggest reason why I didn't pre-order it yet. I'd like at least to see a couple of gameplay pictures, to get an idea what this "remastered" really means.

Man, I'm so tempted to play the ps3 version now after watching this. This was a pretty awesome presentation during E3, I remember my hype levels just going through the roof after watching this.
edit: Dat pop when Ellie throws the brick, I remember going bananas over that.
A gameplay video would be better as the bump in frame rate will be far more noticeable than anything else.

That was the best stage demo I had ever seen. Fantastic pacing and totally representative of what the game turned out to be. Only that the final product was even better!
Echo the general sentiment here. Wish we had a better idea of what the differences actually are using official comparison shots, similar to what Ubisoft did with AC4 or Kojima with MGS:GZ. It would be easier to decide whether it's worth getting or not.

The User Interface certainly came a long way, and was one of the biggest improvements. Everything just felt so intuitive when navigating the menus and crafting and everything looked much cleaner. But I don't remember the AI being that intelligent, however I certainly was amazed at how Ellie played similarly to that. It was pretty cool.

I remember doubting that this demo was 100% representative because the animation looked soooo unreal... and yet the game is the same... unbelievable!
ND are obviously trying to give us as much of an update as they can, so are probably a bit busy at the moment. I'd rather them get the work done for it going gold and then show us something, although to be honest I'm not that bothered if they don't as if you can trust any dev to deliver it would be ND.
I'm sure there will be DF analysis within a day or two of release, so if your worried don't pre-order.

Be patient, I think this will blow people away when ND show how much work they have put into it.

In my mind I know its going to look amazing - but the snippets of gameplay we did see at E3 didn't look all that different to the PS3 version to me.
This is the one thing I'd like to know. As it was the whole PAL region (Australia was cut also) that suffered from the the blanket censoring I can see the same thing happening again.
I'm now looking into importing a copy from the US/Canada but will still buy at launch in the UK.

What? Preorder cancelled until they clear things up. I don't want to play the censored version.
That's only the MP that's censored and it's yet to be 100% confirmed. Probably the only complaint I could level at the PAL PS3 version.
If I'm going to be playing it for a long time on PS4 I'm going to make sure that it's the 100% no holds barred version. Even if it means importing.

What was censored is it just the blood in MP in Europe/UK?
Echo the statements about the E3 showing of the game..it was such a :-O moment and reminded me of the uncharted 2 behind doors demo that just wowed.
The effort these guys are putting in I am sure, no nailed on it will deliver on it all and then some even with full 1080/60 and better AA the game still looks more than good enough for next gen!
Also makes me yearn for the same treatment for the UC trilogy, Now the engine work is coming to an end a 1080/60 better AA version of all 3 to see us through till Xmas 2015 for the last episode for while....that would sweeeeeet...it must be on the cards right?

How do you buy things off the US Store - create a US PSN account and can you then just use your british bank details?
Didn't work for me, I had to buy a paysafe/paypal card - It didn't take my credit card details (not US....)

Same here about the credit card, i called sony and the representative said that it may be that i needed at least a day for their system to process my credit card, but i try my debit card and well it worked. US here btw.

you can use entropay to create a virtual visa, fuckers stopped working with my country some years back but it was pretty solid using their services
i find it dumb you can use paypal but it is tied to your PSN acc country by default and you cant change your billing address still making the service useless

Um, I think even if you import it it's still censored. I remember it was like that with the PS3 copy - the MP seems to be censored server side by region.

Probably US PSN if you have a US account and don't mind going digital, works out around £30-33 depending where you get the PSN credit from.
