Uncharted 3 is fine. It has a hard time making a lot of its shit seem believable (the part where Drake gets sold to pirates could have been cut out completely and the plot would probably be better for it, as good as that cruise ship level is), and the controls were definitely ass pre-patch, but it still has a lot of the solid banter, characterisation and set-piece design as Uncharted 2.
The pacing is fairly uneven- the game feels like it's supposed to have an episodic feel, especially when they do shit like their rather unsatisfying swapping in of Elena for Chloe and Cutter, but they don't really sell it enough- and the missions can feel sorta cheap sometimes (anything involving snipers, basically)... but for the most part, it's a real fun romp. It pushes all the buttons a good action game needs to push. When the rest of the industry seems to have problems catching up to Uncharted 2, having a game that you can call an imperfect successor is certainly welcome.
Also, no awful final boss.
