I just starred up my playthrough 5 minutes ago again and yeah there are those graphical glitches where the entire landscape is gone and you are faced with blackness or an entire blue color. Textures being gone and popping up - have experienced it a few times only.

Also, I can't stop loving this game, I'm already hooked again.

Sounds like a wonky PS3, not game, possibly.

fucking awesome

n00basaur am cry
Why?

Okay so I'm walking up to a second floor but I can hear grumplings from somewhere and then this one sound effect intensifies and makes me get a little bit of goosebumps making me aware, without anything happening yet. Genius use of sounds.

It's only happening in this game, and only happens on certain angles. It's the texture that gives away and pops up. And my PS3 isn't old.

I cannot even possibly quantify what a 7.5(or 8, or anything) is in a video game.

I would much prefer just an actual review of the game without a number behind it at the end. I do not care about that. Just tell me the pros and cons of the game, and what your thoughts are on the experience.

The rating curve in gaming is steep and getting steeper. For me, a 7.5 is the equivalent to the original Assassin's Creed game--colorless, monotonous, repetitive--I didn't finish the game.

The things is, people want instant gratification and I think review scores fall into that category. It is much easier to see an 8/10 than read a 1000-word article on why it gets an 8/10. Having said that, I appreciate that some sites now have video reviews. I myself prefer to watch a video that justifies a score than read, however, I still occasionally choose three or four articles from reviewers that I trust for games that I'm excited about.

Has anyone had experiences with Gamestop Uk preorders? Cheapest price at the moment.

I have heard good things about them. Do they not charge P+P though, or did they get rid of that?

Either way you are best trying flubit. I got an offer for £31 (Including pre order DLC)

A number is completely meaningless if you do not read the review behind it. You have no idea why that person thought the game was either good or bad. It's meaningless, imo.

I would never be able to quantify a game with an arbitrary score. There is no science or math behind it, really. It is all completely subjective, so why have a score at all?

Seriously I am extremely impressed by the sound side of the game. Not just the spare but phenomenal use of the soundtrack but the smallest of sounds from others, surroundings but mostly from the way Naughty Dog make use of sound effects to intensify a feeling, to make you pay way more attention than most other games. I am feeling frightened at this part of my playthrough which I only feel in horror games like Siren (not to say its like it but I'm feeling the same way of helplessness, that I'm not safe right now) - yet I won't go into detail with anything in my playthrough.

there was a bio something girl giving this game a 7/10. she is saying AI is not good.

cannot wait until next week for this game!!

Honestly, I am so upset. Gamestop has cancelled my order for the Pandemic edition for the sixth fucking time. What is going on :(?

Can someone help me :(?

Enjoying the game so far. I'm having an issue which I don't know if its due to the game or my PS3 settings.

The audio is really quiet in cutscenes. Anyone else with the game had this issue?

Which is why I'm all for getting rid of score entirely.

I've blinded myself from this game since its reveal, can't wait to play it next week. Just popped in here to see the review scores. I'm excite.

Still cautious after bioshock infinite scores. Terrific game for some but the gameplay didn't sit right with me and I was just interested in the story. Will buy this regardless though.

Been on a media blackout so quickly popped in to peek at scores and wow, perfect scores overload.

Good going ND, another awesome new IP it seems.

Is the AI as dynamic as it appeared in the E3 demo?

For instance, at the end of the demo, when Joel shoots the guy in the face, what would happen if you just kept aiming or something?

Kind of. Only had problem when playing with tv-speakers (usual problem with my ps3 anyhow), and with my surroundsystem it is perfect.

It could be some settings that need tuning. Have you tried different sound settings on the PS3 and in the game?

God damn I'm not going on any streams for E3 until I finish this game. Some idiots are posting spoilers in the streams for Konami conference they might do it for Sony's and MS' too. Good thing someone told me.

Yeah, Bioshock Infinite is an awesome game but some reviews were really hyperbolic. Even Jared/Screwattack hyped me like crazy. A 10 on 10 (imo) stands for something almost perfect and BI is far from it.

Alright just preordered the game and picked up Uncharted 2&3 in anticipation. Only made it 3/4 way thru 2 before selling it and I have no idea what to expect from 3. Hearing about the awesome setpieces and puzzles in 3 has me excited. One of my friends who hasn't turned on his PS3 for 18 months is going ape over this. The hype is overtaking me.
