So am in the only one who turned off retry offset immediately?
So am in the only one who turned off retry offset immediately?
Nope, I did too. There were a few times I had to retry and it's satisfying to eventually find a way to beat a boss that wiped the floor with your party. I'd say these are the times where the battle system actually shines as you have to use it to a deeper extent than the usual buffs, delays and s-breaks.So am in the only one who turned off retry offset immediately?
In Chapter 8during the Jaeger takeover of the Academy, did anyone else find it hilarious that the boss of that quest, Gilbert, only got normal battle music? Especially since all the other Jaegers got Recapture for their fight song. Also it was fun fighting with Analace again but it was a surprise also using Kurt. I forgot that his arts were non orbal, it's too bad that it's probably very intensive learning those abilities, it'd be handy for any future Orbal Shutdown nonsense.
Also, amidst all the crazy shit happening in Grancel in this chapter, did anyone else catch Dorothy snapping photos even though her orbments in her camera should be unsuable?

I'm at the final chapter. I was completely taken by surprise byOlivier being an Erebonian prince. I figured something devious was going on, as he was privately speaking to an Erebonian official over the phone regarding some plan, but I never thought that he was royalty. It was interesting seeing him act serious as a prince. He acted cooler than most characters in the series. lol
After one bullshit encounter that kept getting me killed before I could act I had little interest in turning it off. Made the difference between needing to dump progress or not, and ended up more amusing than aggravating. So am in the only one who turned off retry offset immediately?
After hitting a brick wall in the prologue on the "Hard" difficulty, where it was either grind for hours getting miniscule EXP each battle, pray to the RNG gods that the boss would have unfavorable turn advantages, or use offset to make it easier, I chose offset. After one bullshit encounter that kept getting me killed before I could act I had little interest in turning it off. Was that thefight? That fight sucked even on Normal...Jaeger Kurt
I used all my Balms and only barely won by spamming s-crafts after I got off a few arts depleting my EP.
Weird thing is those bugs are situational, sometime they rear their heads and other times the menus react normally.Chapter 9 spoiler
There are two bugs at the Aureole city. One is at the central office computer terminal and another is at one of the residence computer terminals. The bug is that the cursor is invisible. All you can hear is the sound of the cursor moving. I got around it by using my mouse to use the mouse cursor, thankfully. Interesting revelation that one of the Zemurian citizens, Celeste, is an ancestor of Kloe. She was the architect of the Aureole. I also noticed that Weissman was a name in the terminal, so could George Weissman be an immortal Zemurian?

I don't remember this specific boss or when you get it butChapter 9 spoiler
Ugh. God. The Riot Arm and two Solid Seekers boss battle is a pain in the ass. The Solid Seekers keep healing the Riot Arm, and I can't keep up in chipping away at the Riot Arm's health. Hell Gate and that other wide AoE darkness spell seem to be the only effective attacks on them.
I don't remember this specific boss or when you get it butI spammed Joshua's Death Scream art a lot. Kevin had it too. It comes down to orbment/equipment but both cast their spells pretty quickly.
I could use some help organizing my party, and where my party levels should be at.
Chapter 9 spoiler
Joshua and Estelle are at level 82, Agate is at level 80, Kevin and Olivier are at level 74. What's the best party formation before going into the tower? Would Kevin and Olivier have too low of levels?
I have a good idea on which orbmants to equip. Equipping Action 4, Move 3, and Cast 2 are the important ones. The time orbal arts appear to be the most effective against enemies in chapter 9. Anything else I should know?

>not using explosive cookies to prove your worth in combat
I'm a bad person who sees limited use items as an invaluable commodity (my elixirs in FF and seeds in DQ hardly ever get used hahah)... at least I'm not bad enough to do something like waste vulnerary stores like that one Awkward Zombie comic.
I don't remember what level I was during the final boss fights, but if you need to grind you can go to the Liberl Ark Tunnels 3, and run into the squid-looking monsters until you get a group of like 8 shining poms. Then use S-Crafts or Death Scream.
I think you'll definitely want Kevin and Olivier at higher levels.

Well, that was worth it. Finished up about half hour ago and I think this definitely gets an entry in my favourite series list. Music wasn't always my jam, which is a bit thing for me normally, but the characters and world were so vibrant that it kept me engaged.
On the off chance are there any summaries of Ao or Third Chapter available? I know it isn't the same but some small context on events would be nice before moving on to Cold Steel.
That's precisely what casinos in JRPGs are for.Am I a bad person for abusing the casino for tons of money in Chapter 1?

I'm almost at 500k mira now...
Yeah, especially since the more lucrative Sepith types (Space and Mirage) seem to be in greater supply than the elementals. I had more issueswith unlocking everyones slots, but never any money issues. If you could buy sepith it would matter, but I don't think I came even remotely close to running out of mira.
Man, I have a feeling that what hooks this leaves for sequels would mainly make me want to jump to Cold Steel anyway, going byThough I suppose Zero/Ao could've touched on that since it sounds likeOlivier's talk of inner turmoil in Erebonia due to Osbourne's actions.you know big events are going down in Erebonia in those games.
If you could buy sepith it would matter
You can. But the window of opportunity is small.
I own both Zero and Ao on PSP. I'm hoping there are, or will be, fan translations of both of them. I'd like to play them someday.
There is an in works fan translation of zero but its of questionable quality
Just looked around and you're right. It's even active! That's really nice, hopefully it'll be good.
It's so interesting where you get random lore namedrops and details. In the FinaleI tried to go up into the engine room of the Glorious but it doesn't let you. Joshua explains that this door has voice recognition security, which is unheard of among the general public's idea of orbment technology, and then goes on to explain a little about the Thirteen Factories and that Doctor (I forget his name) is the head of that side of the organization. Incidentally I had Father Kevin in the party and he was the one that asked about the tech, so I wonder if having someone else meant that they wouldn't have asked for more details.
And easy to miss if you aren't thorough.
I definitely missed it. Where is it? I had a crapload of mira just sitting around.
should be that vacantbuilding near the newspaper and coffee shop. it was was vacant since fc. i only entered once and never bought anything. hope that's what you were looking for.

Oooooh snap I forgot to check that entirely. I guess the window of opportunity is when you arefree to travel about the regions? Or is it after the siege of Grancel?
A little ahead of where I am.

To her creditit DOES sound like Josette's helpful around the airship. But that doesn't mean crap about the battles outside of "our probable getaway ride should be in good working order!"
I'm also hitting some bugs there, like when accessing to Capua on, uhh, new entries.
Use the mouse instead of the controller if you're having trouble selecting things on the computers.
