Converting from motion to analogue controls maybe took some work at least...Mark my words, it's not even a port. Pretty sure it's using the same GC/Wii emulator they did for Mario Sunshine and Mario Galaxy HD.
amiibo is to fast travel anywhere. the default game has specific fast travel locations. Is this what we need the Amiibo for?
it's a port considering this one is running at 60 fps and has new controllers. lazy and expensive, but still a port.Mark my words, it's not even a port. Pretty sure it's using the same GC/Wii emulator they did for Mario Sunshine and Mario Galaxy HD.
Why scam? If people find value in the purchase it's their money and their business. It would be a scam if the game comes at 480p and 30 fps and/or without regular controller mapping after they advertise it fullhd at 60fps with new controller scheme, people buying the game know what they're getting into. Just don't buy it if it's not enough of an upgrade for you.skyward sword doesn't deserve all this attention, the game was ok but now they're marketing this thing to scam new botw players.
The game is slow for a very long time, it interrupts you constantly too, even in the middle of a dungeon.everyone, is it worth playing without the amiibo? I've heard it's really slow in the opening hours. do I need this to help round out my Zelda experience?
If you think this is lazy go check out the main menu in mario 3D allstarsHoly hell, I love me some Zelda, but there is no way I'm paying good money for this lazy-ass port.
blurry as hell
And how do you distinguish a port from a remaster? Any proofs? Because to me its a remaster - 60fps + resolution + wide screen + controls + who knows what else changed. Also they have a source code so whats the point in emulation?Mark my words, it's not even a port. Pretty sure it's using the same GC/Wii emulator they did for Mario Sunshine and Mario Galaxy HD.

We'll seeit's a port considering this one is running at 60 fps and has new controllers. lazy and expensive, but still a port.
blurry as hell
Amazingly the textures were enhanced, and it still looks like this.
Why make a game that supposed to look blurry, not blurry? If I were to play this game again, I might be interested to set this up:
If a developer decided to make a new game with Monet inspired art today, I am sure they can find a way to make that art in 4K.
This is correct. Which is why this post will get mocked to infinity and back again. That's kinda the point though. Skyward Sword takes its artistic inspirations from the work of Claude Monet
A higher resolution and HD textures wouldn't really improve the game's look, because the blurry appearance is intentional. Therefore they had the choice of redoing the game completely or being truthful to the original without ruining the original vision and given that this is just an HD port they obviously chose the latter.
No. The Amiibo wil let you launch to the sky from anywhere on the underworld map. Normally you need to find a statue to do. There isn't much of a statue shortage in the game either. Messed up that Nintendo is doing it but it's not as big of a deal as people make it out to be.Is this what we need the Amiibo for?
I've said it before in prior threads but I'm convinced that the best way to play SS is on the WiiU gamepad. That tiny 480p screen makes the game look absolutely gorgeous. It really showcases the art style. This is correct. Which is why this post will get mocked to infinity and back again.
SS looked "blurry" in the distance even on my old 480p EDTV plasma. Everything that isn't close to Link is just supposed to look soft to imitate those paintings.
