Yeah, Oral Roberts was down two but hit those clutch free throws At the end of regulation to go to overtime. They almost blew that lead they built up in OT, but were able to hold on and pull the upset.

Some good games so far, including the play-in games from last night.

And Duke and Kentucky watching from home is the icing on the cake.

The first #5 to fall to a #12, Tennessee loses to Oregon State. I didn’t see this game but it looks like it wasn’t close (70-56).

Like the Jayhawks, the Sooners have played up and down this season. They have a good team, I hope they are back on track and playing well. It would be a nice win for the Bug XII, especially against Missouri.

March Madness is my favorite time of the sports year and I've been soaking it all in with a greater appreciation given that last year was the first time it wasn't there. Some really nice upsets so far!

Fairly happy with Michigan's win today. We were up 23 or 24 when Juwan decided to give a line up with Zeb Jackson and Terrence Williams some extended run midway through the second half. We let them back into it a bit but it was worth it to get those two some extra minutes. We're now at a point where foul trouble or another injury could force one or both of them to play major minutes and neither one has played a ton this year.

I don't really watch college basketball like I do the NBA, but I am glad to have March Madness back. I love watching the tournament just for the reactions. Though I do miss the crowds. A buzzer beater or a big point swing just isn't the same without the fans.


All of the upsets so far have been great. I love the ORU win over Ohio State. I actually called it in my work bracket. Though to be honest I was just spitballing. I had no confidence in the pick.

B1G flop: Embarrassing early NCAA tournament struggles leave proud Big Ten reeling

Was the Big Ten as good as people thought this season? After one day of NCAA tournament action, it doesn't look great for the proud conference.

Well, then came a 22-hour stretch that featured:

Michigan State losing to UCLA.

Ohio State losing to Oral Roberts.

Purdue losing to North Texas.

Illinois is losing to Loyola Chicago at the half, 33-24.

I gotta wonder how much longer they are going to let Mike White underachieve at UF. They have had way too much talent to be as mediocre as they have been the last couple of seasons.

Amazing game, amazing ending. UCLA played balls out all night. Big shots every time Gonzaga took the lead. Their big guy popping 10 footers. Gozagas offense is just brutal to play against. Even with UCLA playing great defense it is like watching a layup drill in warmups. Best college game I have seen since Duke-Kentucky and the Laettner shot.

Congrats Zags, now go beat the crap out of Baylor.
