New trailer. Confirms the plot leak, which means the movie ends with an Incursion

I feel Disney doesn’t care about Marvel anymore. They just continue to milk the Marvel fan by producing just good enough movie to get them back in theater.
to be honest, that’s probably the best marketing material we’ve seen for this movie, but it’s still really meeeehhh….

The idea of this movie is kinda neat, but the execution is absolutely dreadful. They picked three completely uninteresting characters played by three actresses void of any charisma or screen presence.

And the main baddie, might as wel let a sack of potatoes throw some pew pew lasers because it wouldn't make much difference.

It's just so soulless. How did we get from Winter Soldier and Civil War to this schlock?

Disagree. Iman Vellani is charismatic, Teyona Parris is optimistic and Star Trek - like and Brie Larson is militaristic but caring.

The first two were great and showed range for their particular characters. Teyona has a really good acting resume.

It looks more family oriented... The reshoots might have helped a lot.

I know Disney wants to push lesser known characters and make them bigger than they ever were in the comics…B-U-T-…where the hell is the Fantastic Four, Ghost Rider, and everything in the X-MEN universe. Common now.

Marvel MCU in their infinite wisdom thinks people prefer to see characters like Echo, Agatha and Ironheart get a show before X-Men/Fantastic Four. :messenger_winking_tongue:

They have to bring them in smartly. You can't have 10,000 mutants in a world that never had nor referenced them before.

But you'll get your X-Men wish soon... They're coming in Deadpool 3.

I understand they want to handle the characters carefully. Yet, when Disney ceo is saying that marvel is “over saturated” and there is too much marvel. Start bringing out the big franchises slowly. And Not fightin focusing on the “C” And “D” list superheroes They have been using.

I’m not sure the marvel market is over saturated or just being handled incorrectly.

A lot of both, I think.

Many of the MCU films feel very samey, look identical, and they hit similar themes. Thus helped maintain quality up front, but now adds to fatigue.

And by shooting for the fringes of the comic book audience and neglecting the core, they are fostering a lot of apathy.

I agree with everything you said.

There is …SO MANY comic stories that Could Be adapted. Seems easier to introduce the larger characters and introduce the smaller thru the larger characters.

Captain Marvel- a new take on modern feminism. We, the audience can't necessarily see ourselves letting her wear the pants, but definitely the shoes.

Do we really want Disney to take a stab at those movies right now.. I was once excited to have them do these but now... Not so much.
