lol I actually think it looks fun, glad it's not taking itself seriously.

It seems like none of the MCU takes itself seriously at all. It's all quips and snarky comeback comedy. The last Thor movie look like it was made for people who are under the age of 10. It would be nice if Marvel Studios had a movie that took itself a little bit more serious. They've done it before with movies like Winter Soldier and other movies from phase 1 and 2.

But unfortunately, again, it's all this snarky, cringe inducing quippy humor now.

I don't know if Phase 4 made me lose interest in the MCU, but this looks like goofy, low-budget crap. (seriously that part at 0:38 looks like a student film what the fuck)
Quantumania was the 1st MCU film I've skipped on watching, and this is probably gonna be the 2nd unless the next trailers somehow manage to salvage it.

No... I can't tell if a movie is good or not by the trailer. I didn't think the trailer to Life of Pi was good ... It didn't excite me at all... But then I saw the movie later on TV and was blown away! Justice League 2017's trailers used some of the Snyder footage that didn't end up in the movie... The trailers sold me on it but the movie was an abomination ... Years later I finally see ZSJL and it's like I finally saw the Justice League I'd been waiting for!

So no... Trailers don't tell me which movie is good and which isn't.

And no, I don't go to the theater for every Disney movie. I pick and choose because my money is not long. I didn't see Love and Thunder in theaters... Saw it on D+ and I'm glad I didn't waste money on that crap! But I kick myself for going to see Last Jedi and RoS at the theater... Could have used that money for something else. I didn't see Eternals in theaters either... But after watching on D+, I LOVED IT! It was different enough from all the other Marvel movies that it really hit different...

Every time Hollywood keeps putting Beastie Boys in a movie, whether it's in the movie or a trailer, I just cringe. It's like a bunch of out of touch old men thinking they're hip, when it comes across an outdated. Beastie Boys are like 30+ years old at this point, it's what would be considered an "oldie" when I was a kid.

You can cringe until your shinbones break, but you won't be accommodated, and there may be a character reasons 90s music was chosen.

absolutely, that's why i felt it was a dynamic between him an colin where it would kind of cancel out because Colin was Captain Pessimist for a very long time, his new content he seems different and happier, but back then it was a fun duo to watch.

I thought Captain Marvel was a really good movie, in my view one of the MCUs best.

However this movie going by the trailer makes it look boring, predicable trouble main characters get in, fight between them 1st half of the movie, team up half way through, 2nd half beat the bad guy......................zzzzzz.

I'm probably fatigued from MCU now TBH, the last few MCU movies (excluding No Way Home) have been poor, Thor Love and Thunder was just awful.

With Chapek's "more more more content" edict no longer on the table and Iger back giving creative control back to the studios... And the lady in charge of post prod gone... There's time to fix the CGI and any issues Feige might find in the movie. It doesn't come out til November.

There is a downside to that, on the Resident Evil 5 remake thread I was discussing the “spear chucker“ stereotype with another poster who was explaining why 5’s depiction of it wasn’t necessarily racist. Then a certain poster who has a history of engaging in arguments with me (and by that, I mean they constantly repeat their first post and don’t even acknowledge my counter points, and when they get called out on it they accuse me of “projecting”) replied to the other guy and said not to engage with me as they said I “virtual signal often” and I “get this place mixed up with Era a lot”.

The other guy thanked this certain poster, and mind you, I was clearly listening to what the other guy was saying! He was giving me interesting info, but then this certain poster butted in and mocked me and threw cheap labels on me. And so then, when I call this poster out in a follow up post on their poor behavior in arguing, this poster reported me and the mod removed my last post simply said “if you have him on ignore, be the bigger person“. WTF?! Mind you, the post the certain poster made attacking my behavior was allowed to stay up. I’m sorry, mods, but clearly having this person on ignore isn’t doing shit if they’re sabotaging my conversations and casually badmouthing me in conversations they weren’t even a part of!

I’d report his post, but I was scared that the mod had already made their decision and wouldn’t care what I have to say and I might just get in trouble with them.
