Yes, this is what it feels like to me.
The negativity does seem overblown in isolation - but this is not an isolated thing. All we've been getting for years is key art, talking heads, mood-setting trailers and a couple of tech demos.
This is a game with an ultra-passionate fanbase who want to see Mass Effect climb back to glory after the divisive ME3.
These breadcrumbs of information, with half-hearted 'clues' to discuss on social media, aren't selling it. Trying to keep track of this fluff is not setting the imagination on fire. I really want to be hyped for this but, outside of fond memories and the brand name, I just can't find it in me to get excited.
Guess the only thing that keeps me hopeful is the leaked survey that actually contained something substantial about the gameplay/storyline. Since then, it's just been more of this.
