Yeah, that begins to change my mind. That does seem to acknowledge it's still a possibility.
I still think it's unlikely, but I'll now admit that there is a realistic chance of it happening. I also think that if it does happen, ME4 is further away than we think.
Most likely would be handled by an outside team than Bioware Montreal itself so I doubt it would affect development.Yeah, that begins to change my mind. That does seem to acknowledge it's still a possibility.

That tweet confuses me. Does that mean it's coming and they can't talk about it, or does that mean it's not coming?

It means we can't say anything more at this time.
Perhaps. I would assume 6 months to a year apart.I doubt they'd release a remastered trilogy and ME4 that close together. That's why I think if it happens, ME4 is further than we hope.
Breaking News. Trilogy remaster confirmed. Send it to the blogs.

The thing I'd love to hear from people is what you'd like to have in such an experience. For me (personal opinion, and based on what people have told me many times before):
- 1080p
- 60 fps
- High res textures, especially on ME1
- Some shader improvements commensurate with newer GPUs
- All the DLC
- "Seamless experience" - the adventures flow into each other without having to go back to save import, menu screens, etc.
Agree / disagree? What else?
Bear in mind this is a "wish list" at this point...

I'm not sure I need the seamless experience bit... I'm fine with the games as they are, but looking nicer. I'm sure there's a few people that would like to skip certain entries, so making it one giant game might annoy them a bit. I also wouldn't want the gameplay changed so all three play the same. Basically, all I want is the three games looking nicer. The thing I'd love to hear from people is what you'd like to have in such an experience. A good one that I did not think off but man that would be great to maybe I'll even buy the game twice over then :OYep, controller support for PC would be very nice.
Oh, improve the journal in ME3 to equal of that in ME1 and 2 as well. Also return it to the top of the menu instead of manual.
Since there's no official way to preorder this, I'm gonna just bury some money in a shoebox!
Yeah, that begins to change my mind. That does seem to acknowledge it's still a possibility.

This is an absolute must. The 'journal' in ME 3 was completely useless.
That is all but a confirmation. If it was not in the works he would not just make that comment out of the blue. Nevertheless, it's nice to know it's coming eventhough we won't hear anything tomorrow.
This will annoy you, no doubt, but I'm basically taking this, along with that tweet, as sign that it IS happening.
JohnnyFootball, you were right all along.

Imagine if they redo ME1 combat with the ME2/ME3 combat mechanics.
Would be the game of forever.
since everyone is in la-la land in terms of a theoretical remaster, let's also have Bioware fix the entire mess of a plot and premise that is ME3.
Rewrite the entire thing, cut away the dumb ending and the dumb kid and the dumb Earth and the dumb unite the warring races and the dumb reapers are here! and the dumb pick up 3 space wolf pelts during the apocalypse and the dumb citadel is the magical solution out of nowhere and the...
