I have the pro controller, screen protector and Zelda but not the system. At least with the system you can download games to play.

Just this second got shipment confirmation on my switch and zelda

oh god, its ontrac, NOOOOOOOOOOO (never had a problem with them, hopefully this continues to be true)

Delivery by tomorrow @ 8pm, hopefully they got everything sorted and this'll be the end of my worries

There is an investigation happening. They are aware of systems being sold on the bookstore and without saying anymore it sounds as if that was a big fuck up as pre orders weren't filled.

As of right now no systems are moving until the investigation is over. The best we could get out of them was maybe 2 days for the system to get here.

The Treasure Truck is what really pissed me off. I know they didn't have a ton of stock, but here I am waiting for my 2-day shipment from Indiana from a day 1 preorder.
 
I got a $10 credit. Status finally changed to shipped, arriving tomorrow by 8pm.

I threatened to cancel Prime and was still only offered $10. It isn't a threat either - my year expires later this month and I'm pretty happy to let it lapse - just go back to free slow shipping. Amazon DGAF I guess.
 
Amazon Logistics attempted to deliver my Switch and said the carrier was unable to gain access to my front door due to a gate. My community's gate is open until 5:00 PM and they attempted delivery at 2:00 PM. I contacted support and they said they needed my gate code, then went to enter it and found that it was already in the system.

They rushed a second delivery today and they were "unable to find address," despite me receiving packages from AMZL in the past just fine.

Totally worthless. They didn't offer a solution other than attempting a third delivery tomorrow. I'm never gonna get this thing. This is in addition to canceling my Master Edition of BOTW.

I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up that my BotW order would magically make it here in time when it went from Phoenix, Arizona to California on it's way to Texas.
 
So I ordered my Switch and Zelda from Amazon, and it was supposed to arrive launch day. I go to sleep and sleep really well since I have today off. I wake up at noon, brush my teeth and all that, and then check my amazon page. Order still out for delivery. That's good. I open my door to check just in case, and there's the UPS "missed you" note on the door. No problem, right? I live at an apartment complex, and for the last 3 years, whenever UPS missed me, they'd just drop my package at the office. This has happened every single time, and goes for orders that exceeded $1000 in price.

But not this time. This time they decided that they're taking it back to storage. But oh no, not today. They'll do that Monday. I was supposed to sit and wait until Monday to go and pick it up myself. Naturally I was furious. I have 3 free days to play the game, and UPS decided that I shouldn't play it. I talked to my roommate, who had the brilliant thought of calling them. I didn't expect much, but I thought I'd be nice regardless and request that they help. In a beautiful twist of fate, I talked to the nicest person that worked in the office that day. I explained that I really liked to have the package today, and she completely understood. She put in a request that the driver drops my package at a nearby storage whenever he's done. They called me a few minutes later, told me that I can come pick it up at 7 PM. I did, and I just finished playing for about 3 hours. Game is amazing, and these guys really saved my weekend.

The problem is that Zelda is sold out and overpriced in the store where it is still sold.

Since I had to buy protection screen shit that I hadn't planned, I can't afford the difference :/ .

Gamestop screwed me out of a Zelda Special Edition. They claim I only preordered the standard version when I preordered the Special Edition. And of course there are no stock to fix the error. Also UPS screwed up delivery of my charging grip. Don't know what happened but they were able to deliver my Joy Cons. Not that bad I guess compared to the crap others have gone through.
 
Still hasn't shipped over here... still 'arriving tomorrow by 9pm'. Says March 4th when I view so it's likely Amazon operates in PST?
 
I didn't have a switch pre-ordered but managed to grab one at target this morning.

Meanwhile the. Lot of Zelda that I bought on steep discount from BestBuy several weeks back got delayed until Monday.

I expected to have Zelda and no Switch. Somehow it's the other way around. I've got nothing to play on this thing. Pretty cool hardware tho.

I'm in LA as well. Complained to two reps. Both of whom have assured me I'll get it tomorrow. We'll see. Still says 8pm tonight.

Oh, and one of them extended my Prime for a month. Yay?

call amazon , i spoke with 4 people over through chat and not one could give me a answer or accommodate something for me. I ended up writing bad feedback for all of them when i put in the feedback for the last rep they called me. At first no answer on to where the package may be as my details still says shipping today arriving at 8pm. Then they assured me its coming soon in the next few days I'm like ok and then they offered 10% return for my switch and also gave me a $30 certificate.
 
So my Switch and Zelda were delayed a day due to a technical error from Amazon and they offered me a 50% refund.

Saved me $200ish
 
Wow sucks that you guys are having issues with Amazon across the pond as well. It's crazy to think given how good they've been with console launches in the past that they could fuck up this much
 
Fucking Amazon man. I got home today expecting my Switch w/Zelda and Bomberman. Nope, not until Monday. Thanks Amazon.

I have to work this weekend anyways, so fuck it. Still annoyed though.
 
My order is 30 minutes away from me now but I'm probably not going to get it until Monday because Amazon didn't seem to put in one-day shipping.
 
Update, an Amazon rep reached out to me and assured me that my order will be delivered this Sunday through Amazon Logistics and that I will be able to change the shipping address from my work to my home without any delay to my order.
 
I got them to offer me $30 but I wanted more. Honestly, they clearly fucked up majorly.

I also escalated the issue to a supervisor (and I'd recommend others trying to do that as well). She basically admitted that everyone throughout the day lied to me. They were guaranteeing it was coming Friday by 8PM till about 4PM, when they said it would come Saturday. I just talked to a person who said it would come Monday (after he found and corrected a problem. When I pressed for what the problem was, he wouldn't tell me and then later admitted he didn't do anything). The supervisor said at that point she would not comment whatsoever on when it would ship or be delivered, because they didn't know anything.

It is pretty bullshit. Very strongly considering not renewing my Prime, and barely shopping from Amazon any more.
 
I pre-ordered my switch from best buy within minutes of it opening that first day. UPS showed it was out for delivery and now I won't get it until Monday. UPS is claiming that Best Buy sent it out late. Since it was sent ground, that facility is not open on Saturday. Sucks.

Something went terribly wrong with UPS this past holiday season. They have been solid for me in the past, getting presents to friends and family all over the country well before Christmas. In 2016 almost every shipment was late, even though I placed the orders one-to-two weeks prior to Christmas Eve.

And ever since then some of my Amazon orders, which I always send to the Amazon locker up the street so a new driver can never get lost, have been getting lost in transit and delayed. I wonder if they switched to some new suite of applications for tracking and delivery or some shit.

How are people getting these huge discounts or their shipment rerouted to a new address? I guess I need to learn how to negotiate.

Talked to 2.5 reps and they were all largely unhelpful. Ended up running into an Amazon employee in target who was also hunting for a switch since Amazon fucked up his order, lol.

Sounds like the amazon book store still has stock?? May check there tomorrow morning, but it'll probably be gone.

The new Amazon app shows when things ship and give you delivery dates. JUST popped up on my phone now saying my Switch is coming in on Monday. Ok, I have a date finally... SOME kind of date in this mess! HOWEVER, they took the Switch off of my Open Orders, and I found it in like, an archived section. It's also still listed as "8pm". Weird.

Has that happened to anyone else?

(Oh, and before I make the post, I get an email following it, saying that the system just "shipped" Ok...)

My Amazon order for BOTW ME and Hori Screen Protector did this when they shipped. I can't say for the Switch since it still hasn't shipped (now says 'Expected Mar 3 Preparing for Shipment').
 
My switch arrived in the shop, I can go pick it up.

But I have no game and since I had to buy a case and a screen protector (that I won't get until next week) to avoid the scratches, I can't really put more money into the whole thing so I don't want to go digital for Zelda :(.

Because of course Zelda hasn't shipped.
 
Switzerland here.

ordered around the 13th of january (when it went live for purchase here) and was in the first batch.

Due to work I switched my preorder from pickup to delivery. Now it seems - even though I confirmed with their support first - they created a completly new order and I am in the back of the line.

Wondering if I should go out and try to buy one in a store. But one guy said that there wasn't anyone left in switzerland on here. :(
 
Damn, some of you guys go hard on the amazon CS reps. I just asked about the status of the order and got Zelda for free and shipping bumped up, then 40min later it shipped and it looks like it'll hopefully be here tomorrow.
 
Looks like my Switch moved out of Columbus overnight. It's now in my city but looks like it's going to sit there all weekend 😫
 
A rep promised it would arrive Saturday by 8pm.

This morning I see it will arrive Sunday by 8pm.

Time to go livid on a rep. I could have gotten it from anywhere else and have had it one day of this precious weekend.

Edit: There's nothing they can do. Guess I'll spend the weekend doing my taxes or something awful like that.
 
My amazon order finally arrived at 1.30pm the day after launch... Even after a chat and a call the best compensation provided was a weak apology and £5 in goodwill credit. What a joke.
 
Contacted amazon cystomer service. No help at all, no free month of prime added. Dealt with 2 crappy email reps and a chat one who i ended up canceling my amazon prime membership with. They gave 0 fucks, i was not hostile at all either in any of them.

This is probably the worst CS experience i was given, and canceled my membership just because of the people i was dealing with.
 
Amazon gave me 25% off of my order. It's coming today. I ordered a switch and Zelda when the preorders went live.

Saved about 80 bucks, so pretty much saved more than the inevitable first price drop.

Gotta say I am happy with that! I'm on the east coast USA
