Just watched land of the dead. Pretty decent zombie movie, not the best Romero has done but has a half decent plot and some decent special effects. Any other good zomie movies available?

This was pretty good.

Also watched The Graduate for the first time, and holy shit at Mrs Robinson. Pretty good movie too, seems to have aged just fine.

This is zombie-ish and is actually pretty good.

Dead Snow
The Horde

Watched The Horde, kind of the opposite of what I was expecting, high budget looking, but brain dead plot wise.
why were they trying to leave the building, especially once they saw the zombies swarming the streets, what was the plan once they got outside if the zombies didn't inexplicably disappear?

Pretty enjoyable zombie flick overall.

Has anyone watched any of the rather odd "Example" movies that are on Netflix (Test movies).... One showed up in the new release section and then i did a search on "Example".. so odd stuff...

(if old..sorry)

I saw that too. No idea what the hell it is, but I'm pretty sure it got uploaded by Nexflix by mistake.

Just watched Cherry Bomb. Being a fan of grindhouse I thought it might be interesting. It wasn't. It was horrible and everyone in making it involved should feel bad.

Withnail and I

... is slowing creeping its way up my favorite movies list. I really, really like it. Have watched it like five times the past month or so.

Just saw this. Like a lot of documentaries, it is not flattering at all towards its subjects.

Nothing short of a paid advertisement
and even then
could show Phil Fish in a flattering light, IMHO.

The Artist was just put up on Netflix.
Been meaning to watch this.

Red Riding (three part series)
Very good cast, good series. Has some weak points (mostly plot wtf's regarding character motivations, and in the third act they have a medium play a small but vital role in a manner that's completely inexplicable) but this shit was pretty intersting, and the way the plot builds and comes to light over the course of the series was well done imo.
Been meaning to watch this. Big fan of "gritty" British crime TV, in the vein of Prime Suspect (w/ Helen Mirren), Cracker and Wire in the Blood, and I'd heard about this Trilogy on a movie review show, but it wasn't available on Netflix at the time. Added to queue.

Was this that thing on Youtube? Is it a shitty movie or just like fucked up or both?

Dunno if it was on youtube or anything. People on here said it was a poorly made film. I didn't notice that really. What I did notice is that it was uncomfortable and depressing to watch. Made me feel sick. So the general concensus is "both".

This thread says it better than I ever could...

Die, wasn't bad. IMO, it's worth checking out. I was a little woozy when I watched it but, I enjoyed it.

Catacombs is up now. It's OK. Nothing really great, nothing really horrible.

I'm about to watch Lost in Translation for the first time. I've heard good things about it, does GAF approve?

Highly recommended. This is one of those movies you think about long after you've seen it (or at least that was the case for me). If you've ever visited Tokyo, the effect is further magnified.

I stumbled upon Wes Anderson's BOTTLE ROCKET. His first full length movie and quite entertaining. Although not as good as Rushmore which was released two years later.

Lockout was added.
That movie has some of the worst CGI.

Ugh, i feel like i have watched every movie and show worth watching on Netflix.. Tempted to get a month of Amazon Prime just to watch NYPD Blue because that's the only show on both services i haven't seen :-/

I thought that it was done that way on purpose? I took it as an attempt to look a bit unrealistic since it's a future world. It is a bit ridiculous though; there were some moments were I shook my head.

I think they did the best with what they had in Lockout. The budget was only $20 million. The story itself however was lacking. It's Escape from New York but this time the hero tries too hard to be funny. I don't know what they were thinking trying to play off such a highly revered movie.

So a couple weeks ago I was in the mood to watch The Evil Dead... did a search and it didn't come up. But I see it on there today.

So maybe my searching was inept, or it was recently added, either way it's up on instant (US) if you're in the mood. With the reboot coming out, thought I might rewatch it. Only ever saw it as a kid, and barely remember it, so this should be fun. :)

edit: hmm weird i swear they just *bleeped* an f-bomb... is that normal? this say not rated, but I can't remember the original well enough to know if that edit was supposed to be there.
