Oh, what store would that be?
Sort of off topic here, but maybe one of you Apple aficionados can help me out...
I am trying to add a few new contacts to my iPhone 4, but every time I go to the phone, type in the number, and push the + button, it throws me back to the home screen. Same as when I try to push the little blue arrow in the Recent Calls list - right back to the home screen.
Anybody know how to fix that?
Those of you comparing how warm your iPads are getting, please keep in mind that the presence/use of things like LTE can have a huge, HUGE impact on that sort of thing. I'm not familiar with what kind of antenna/chipset the iPad is using, but most 4G phone owners will tell you that 4G use on their phone = a warm spot due to how new and inefficient LTE technology is.

We don't have 4G that works with the iPad here in Australia, please explain the warmth in my iPad.
Do you have the most recent update?
MasLegio said:Crashes to homescreen has been fairly common since 5.x update.
try resetting your iphone and see if that helps
It's wifi iPads too.
You can use iTunes (on your computer) to transfer any mp3 to the iPad. The music app will play them. iTunes on the iPad is pretty much the iTunes store.
This is one area I think apple kind of fucked up.
On your computer you have one app to buy and play movies and music. On iOS now you have a music app, iTunes, a video app, and a app store! I kind of miss the old "iPod" app
I used my iPad for quite a bit yesterday playing Spacechem and New Star Soccer, and didn't notice any heating issues.
The heat under load is no where near a baking hot touch or a hot iphone, if you are used to the cool ipad 2 then I can see why you might worry but there is a ton of hotter apple products out there, macbook air is a good example.
spacechem on iPad? Oh my
Giga linked to an analysis of the display that said that it uses up to 7.5 watt (3 times as much as the old one). Combined with twice the gfx cores you probably use more than 10 watt, which explains the heat and why people can't charge it.
We're Sorry
In today’s world, few companies do the right thing when mistakes are made.
Allow me to introduce myself; I’m Dave Dietz, CEO and one of the three owners of Maroo. Recently, in preparation for the launch of the new iPad, we at Maroo made modifications to our iPad folio cases. It was our intention to offer our customers – whose acceptance and satisfaction of our products is our top priority – the 3rd generation iPad case at the same time the new iPad was released. Prior to the new iPad’s launch, all indications pointed to our current case fitting and functioning perfectly.
However, in the 11th hour, we discovered that there is an issue with the sleep/wake feature. The new iPad’s internal trigger that brings the device in and out of sleep mode has been modified. The magnet that is embedded in our covers that were shipped out for the new iPad doesn't always work because of this modification. We feel the sleep/wake feature is a very important function of our cases, and any imperfection is simply unacceptable.
For this, we sincerely apologize. We will not hide nor try to make excuses for our mistake, and most importantly, we will make things right. For those who purchased a case for the new iPad between March 7 and March 16, this is our solution:
We are currently ordering re-configured cases with modified smart magnets.
When those cases are built, each customer that submits their original sales information in the form below will receive a replacement case that works.
Please keep the case you have now. After all, it still provides excellent protection and works perfectly for those of you who also have an iPad 2.
All you have to do is fill out all fields in this form. Everything else, we'll handle.*
Post I found on Engadget regarding the heat: Engadget link Basically according a thermocam, the new iPad runs around 10 fahrenheits warmer than iPad 2.
Looks like the media is manufacturing another controversy re: the heat output of the new iPad.
I'm seeing articles pop up everywhere on mainstream news sites.
http://www.theonion.com/articles/this-article-generating-thousands-of-dollars-in-ad,27564/This Article Generating Thousands Of Dollars In Ad Revenue Simply By Mentioning New iPad
SAN FRANCISCO—According to industry sources, this news article is generating a veritable bonanza of highly lucrative advertising revenue by mere virtue of the fact that it mentions Apple's new iPad. "Current estimates show that the particular article I am being quoted in at this very moment began to accumulate thousands of dollars in ad-based profits as soon as the words 'new iPad' appeared in the headline," said market analyst Jonathan Bowers, who single-handedly and out of thin air created cold hard cash for a media organization simply by adding that the new Apple iPad will feature a high-definition screen and an improved processor. "Furthermore, any subsequent mention of the new iPad in this article—as well as any mention of the fact that preorders for the device start today—is resulting in increased reader traffic and, thus, increased revenues for your company's ad-based business model." At press time, new iPad, new iPad, new iPad, new iPad, new iPad, new iPad, new iPad, new iPad, new iPad, new iPad.

I browsed throughout the day yesterday. Refreshing GAF threads, updating Reeder, email, that sort of thing, and used around 80 MBs. Not bad.
Yeah, for normal use I don't think we'll go through the data all that fast. When you start streaming video and audio, you can eat up the GB quickly.
I activated mine on Saturday. Went with the 5GB plan, and so far I've gone through 50MB. Most of that is e-mail and some browsing, although I have streamed a few YouTube clips as well.

Dang that LTE is fast. 700MB used in two days. 2GB data plan will not be enough.
Anyone know where I can buy one of these in Canada?

Yearrrgh. New Ipad won't bluetooth sync with the wireless keyboard. If its a hardware fault; not looking forward to getting this swapped out and then to get it bloody resynced with a new piece of hardware.
Problem is it can't even find the bloody keyboard.

Holy shit just saw the iPad thread on the gaming side. I am too scared to post in there.

is this an apple BT keyboard? Mine took about a minute to find the keyboard.
yeah its an apple wireless. The bloody thing won't even discover it. :/ worked with old ipad2. bit annoyed right now. rebooting the ipad.
You didn't un-pair it from the iPad 2 first did you? That sounds like the problem, it might still be looking for the iPad 2. If you still have the iPad 2 within range, un-pair it. Alternatively turn off the keyboard/remove batteries. Then re-do the pairing. BT pairing is strictly a 1-to-1 device deal.
shouldn't be necessary. I didn't have to unpair when I swapped out my first iPad. if the light on the keyboard blinking, it's in pairing mode and his iPad should eventually. may take 20-40 seconds, but it should see it.
Can someone hook me up with a wallpaper site for this thing. I need more beauteous things to look at.
Many Apple store customers can't tell the difference between iPad 2 and 3

Aligns with my experience in Apple stores as well
It's too bad Clear has mostly horrible service* and has stopped their Wimax rollout, now would be a good time to re-introduce the iSpot.
* - I have had nothing but good experiences with my iSpot plan, no throttling, although the network definitely is faster some days than others. I seem to be a rarity, though, and the experience seems to be highly dependent on how loaded your closest tower is.
