It really wasn't, when played on any of the harder difficulties it had a ton of systems that you were forced to utilise along with emergent gameplay opportunities. There's nothing "generic" about doing stuff like this:

I played for about thirty hours (enough to see the "reunion") and ran into two hordes total and I'm pretty meticulous about doing side content in games. The hordes were definitely the most interesting thing about the game filled with otherwise uninteresting things. I'd say calling the hordes woefully underutilized is apt and a pretty big failure of the games structure.

Naughty Dog taking the generation off has left some holes in the lineups and remasters are a way most companies are filling in thee gaps, but I mostly don't understand why they aren't going further back in their catalogue.

I have the Horizon plat too, love both and while I don't know if I'll find the time to replay either with so many other games to play if you *haven't* played these before you're in for a treat. And there is no way in hell Bloodborne isn't getting re-released with all this other stuff coming but my guess it's a Demon's Souls like project, only a matter of time.

Nope. No hidden message or sarcasm or anything in my post. Anything released on the PS4/XboxOne doesn't need a remaster. Those graphics still look good and are all playable through BC. It's literally pointless unless you're a pixel whore.

The reason so many people are asking for PS3 remasters is because those games are locked into that system and can't be played via BC.

? What does this have to do with Days Gone 2? We are not going to sit here and pretend THIS REMASTER being made is in place of Days Gone 2, stopping Days Gone 2, hurting Days Gone 2's development or anything weird like that

We got remasters and ports before for generations now and they've never stopped some other game from being made as they have nothing to do with other development going on. This is still a fucking business and it makes zero sense to leave money on the table if they can bring more into the install base of fans of this IP, so if you want Days Gone 2 faster, I'm pretty sure money would be a requirement.

So what would you rather have?


Those 25 developers who are talking 8 months or so to make this remaster, work on Days Gone 2 instead with a team of over 300
Sony would get less money as no remaster
Less would know about the IP as...no remaster


or 300 working on Days Gone 2,
with millions from sales from the remaster
with more fans thanks to the remaster

Keep in mind, in both fucking examples, Days Gone 2 would still be made, you are just basically choosing a option that has them getting less money and less people know about the IP

Older games = more work = more expensive = higher risc = possibly less or no profit.

Remastering PS4 games is a safe bet, it will 100% make profit.

I don't recall any mods that deep, but tbh I didn't really look that much into it, but there is a mod so you can play as HUNK from RE series lol

4K/60 on the PS5 means it will reach 8K on the Pro, and it'll be using UE5 instead of UE4.

Smoother loading of game data/textures without any hitches (impossible without leaving UE4?)
DualSense trigger effects.
Also, would be pleased with a tower defence game mechanic such as Fallout 4 Settlements System and some kind of multiplayer/co-op functionality.
