Hail to the KING baby
The Steelers got very lucky to win w/ a QB that many feel has been carried by his team and has an inflated record. Remind you of anyone?

tomorrow's games are gonna be great! i cant wait.

Yup. Today did not excite me at all, the Steelers-Jets game really exceeded expectations, but the Falcons-Rams game more than made up for it. What a complete waste of time and just awful all-around. Tomorrow will be great I hope.

Hmmm.

So what? If the rest of the team is solid, you don't NEED the best QB in the league. Don't argue with success -- 2 consecutive superbowls and the Pats are STILL one of the best teams in the NFL.

Unlike, say, the Falcons, who rely primarily on Vick, the Patriots have consistent, proven talent and depth across the entire team.

This doesn't automatically mean they're going to the Super Bowl or that they're a lock to win -- but disparaging Brady after the past 3 seasons is kind of pointless.

I think it's hilarious that people call Brady a system qb. He's only 27 and in his first 4 years he's put up stats that either exceed or are comparable to the first 4 years of Montana,Manning,Elway,Favre,Aikman and others. It's even more impressive that he does it with the team spending so little on offense. It's not like he's surrounded by stars.

Great game played by my Falcons. When the running game is on, it's ON. I have said it many times before...when Vick gets comofrtable with the system and his throwing becomes at least 20% better than what it is now, he will go down to be the best player the NFL has ever had. 119yrds rushing?? Are you kidding? He can average 230-260 yrds throwing with 50-80 yrds rushing a game. He just needs to hold on to the ball and not throw costly picks. Super Bowl bound.

Mike Vick is the truth. The bandwagon left the station years ago. You all can hop on when it makes a return trip headed for the SuperBowl. :) That said, you realize there will be a black QB in the SB now from the NFC. Barring a terrible injury, it'll either be McNasty, Girly Hands Culpepper or The Human Highlight Reel, Vick. :D Could see the first black QB to win one since Doug Williams. Of course, whatever NFC team makes it will be an underdog against the AFC. I can only hope the Steelers make it from the AFC, b/c both NE and Indy are scary. No one's gonna stop the Colts offense, and Bellichek is like the ultimate trump card. The Steelers at least look beatable. PEACE.

I felt exactly the same way. It just seemed like a perfect storm of Steelers mistakes when I felt they should have been dominating in the 2nd half. I was seriously shocked when Bettis fumbled, I mean he NEVER fumbles! I had a feeling he would miss the first FG, just because no opposing player had ever made one that long at Heinz. Even Vinatieri might have missed the first one. But I was positive after they called the timeout he would make the second one (I usually think "icing" never works, I always thought the more time they have the calmer they would be). Glad I was wrong. :D I knew the game was over once Brien missed the 2nd field goal. That has just got to kill the spirit of any team.

I think I might have cried if we blew our fucking spectacular season from one bad game. Even worse than losing, I would have the worst villain in history as my avator!

Eminem, tommorrow night you get the Ben avator baby!

I know, when Bettis fumbled my friend just groaned about how all the things that didn't happen during the regular season were happening all in one game. And when Ben overthrew Plax with just two to go, after I first cursed the calling of a first down pass, I cursed whoever it was that added and extra 3 to Ben's jersey number. Because those two throws were very you-know-who like. But I have to credit the defense, they could have easily rolled over after that and they didn't. And then I credit the Oline for just deciding that they were finishing that game and to hell with everything else. One of the most up and down emotional games I've ever witnessed.

Looks like the Weather gods are on the Patriots side. There is a Winter Storm advisory here in MA and there is supposed to be Gusty Winds and Snow up to a couple of inches by the end of the game. Should be fun seeing Vanderjack miss a Key FG cuz of the weather :lol

From the weahter channel:

Today: Mostly cloudy with snow flurries and snow showers possible. High 31F. Winds NNE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 50%.

Tonight: Periods of snow and windy. Low 21F. Winds NNE at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of snow 80%. Snow accumulating 3 to 5 inches.

ESPN just said they expect the snow to start somewhere between 5 and 6. Might make it a factor for the start of second half. Look for the Colts to try and jump up very early.

At this point, why don't you just keep throwing with Peyton? Honestly, no one's really stopping him. There are sometimes turnover problems, but they are so good right now, I wouldn't trust Vandy past 40. And I think he might have a touch of the choke. :lol PEACE.

a minor rant here, but in light of the whole Randy Moss thing, is anyone else tired of all the talking heads on TV (michael irvin, steve young, sean salisbury) and how they keep saying "Instead of talking about Dante Culpepper's great season, or the Vikings great win, we're talking about Randy Moss..." HELLO! You fuckers ARE the media. You are in charge of what does and doesn't get talked about. if you want to talk about Dante Culpepper's great stats instead of Randy Moss mooning and shaking his dick, go right the fuck ahead!

That's their luxury. Totally ignore the part they play in it, defend Joe Buck and ignore their subsequent reaction even though the vast majority do not care about the incident.

Edit:
Did Cris Collingsworth just say, Westbrook is 'not fast but quick'?

Ben definitely was feeling the nerves yesterday. He made some incredibly poor throws in the first half. I could see that the whole team was getting nervous as soon as the Jets had that special teams TD, that really changed the whole tone of the game. That happens a lot when everyone thinks you will roll over a team and they keep it close at home. The longer they keep it close, the worse the pressure gets. Honest, I thought Chad could have easily thrown 2-3 more INTs with the pressure we put on him, our DBs just didn't come down with the ball though. I am sure we will bounce back in a big way next week though against Indy/NE. :D

On the Eagles game, McNabb is coming up fucking huge. Eagles/Falcons will be a an interesting matchup.

Is it possible for the Vikings to fire Tice mid-game? If you see your target WR walking off the field in front of you during a faked FG, you suck at coaching.
