The NFL Playoffs Thread

of course the patriots are getting all the bullshit calls and non-calls. i've seen holds against them at least 3 times that resulted in big plays, no calls. but on the screen to james, there is a slight hold by the colts and the refs are all over it. what a joke

still, patriots did everything they wanted to do and are only up by 3. come on colts!

I'm wondering when the Colts are going to take a shot deep.

I'm not sure if I'd say that the Colts offense is playing "horribly", more that the Patriots defense is, once more, playing them brilliantly.

Still, 6-3 is nothing. Looking forward to a great second half.

Wow nice play by Bruschi! He always seems to come up big in the playoffs.

Willie Mcginest already had one of the 2 big plays he always has vs Indy. Bruschi is playing as I expected. Now the Pats just need Mcginest to make his second big play,Harrison to make his play and for the Pats offense to roll off a 13 minute drive to start off the 3rd quarter. :lol

You know, everyone talks about the Eagles finally getting into the Super Bowl by finally winning a NFC Championship game but what about the subplot of Ed Donatell getting revenge for 4th and 26!

fuck you tony dungy you coward. see what happens when you dont go for it on 4th and inches from midfield? you let the pats use up 10 mins of clock and get a TD. unbelieveable. this reminds me of moochball. when you dont take chances, your odds of coming back from a defecit are highly decreased.

Did I say he was the problem? No. I just made a statement that I despise the Mannings.
Why, because they're good for the most part? Or is this a dislike going back to the ARchie days? ;)

As for the announcers, you'd think Brady was Favre today. :p Though at least Brady deserves most of the praise he's getting today.

Brady deserves a lot of credit for handing the ball off to the two Patriot backs without fumbling. He's doing his best Big Ben impression today - hand the ball off and make at least 2 completions per drive. nothing outstanding but awesome in its routine.

Seems like in every game against a hyped up defense, the Colts treat the D with too much respect. Not once did I see the Colts try to attack that secondary, like they did against Denver and weaker D's. Now it's too fucking late.

Hater in the house!

Well, I guess the sportscasters do know something after all. All season long, they've been saying the Colts' weak defense would eventually be their undoing, and sure enough... I mean, how can you expect to win when you can't get the opposing team's offense off the field?!? I can't remember the last time I saw Manning take a snap in this game.

This game blows.

The Colts defense is just terrible. Brady's had almost no pressure all day. He looks like he could stand for a minute before passing and a Colt still wouldn't touch him.

Wow, the Colts are just raping that NE secondary...

This game is so shockingly one-sides, yet strangely predictable. Those two Patriot TD posessions...unbelievable.

And did anyone else have CBS cut back from commercials late and miss Brady's TD sneak? Grrrr...

I thought they did a good job in the first half, getting a couple of big sacks. That's changed somewhat since then...

:lol :lol Patriots fumble recovery....ouch!

what a pathetic showing by the Colts, both offense and defense.

and i feel bad for Colt fans. This is pretty much what they can expect for the forseeable future, with them locking up all their $$$ in that offense. I mean, Peyton, Harrison, i can understand, but is it really neccesary to give a guy like Brandon Stokely a bigass multiyear deal?

Yeah they didn't play their normal game on the first drives. Why? >_<

Game over.

Colts fans better get used to this. This is what happens when you spend your entire cap on the offense. They should have let one of the big 3 go and gotten some better defensive players.

Fuck this shit.

I wish CBS would show/tell us why the Colts aren't throwing deep passes. Is it because the coverage is perfect? You'd think this offense would air out some bombs. Pathetic showing.
