This is worst then the blowout the Colts gave last week. The "best" offense in the history of the league has put up 3 points? Insane!

I had a feeling the Pats would win. But I doubt anyone predicted such an easy victory.*

*It should be noted that I made my pick before I truly became a believer in the awesome power of Konex. Never again shall I doubt. I swear if Konex picks the Steelers to win anything I am going to murder him......

The Colts defense is just terrible. Brady's had almost no pressure all day. He looks like he could stand for a minute before passing and a Colt still wouldn't touch him.

I've seen plenty of holding from the Pats O-line.

Peyton hasn't even had a chance to do anything. something like 5 drops and that one ball that went straight through the reciever's hands, and the Bruschi strip, and the Wayne fumble...his receivers have let down the team. Their D is partly to blame due to how long they let the Pats offense stay on the field, though they kept the game in reach for most of the game.

Steelers, you're our only hope!!!!!!!

Somebody put Manning on suicide watch for the next few weeks. When a guy has the best season for a QB ever and can't get over the hump there's really nothing left for him to live for.

I love it Nantz....here comes the Corey Dillon talk. Pats didn't abandon the run because they got down early, they opened the game passing:

Pats-Steelers Play by Play

Total plays called by the Pats before the 21-3 deficit? 9 pass plays (1 wound up being a Brady scramble) and 2 runs. Oh, but the media constantly tells me that they ditched the run after they fell behind. Whatever.

Colts D couldnt stop anything.

and then dropped passes on offense....manning throwing short like crazy.......balls getting strippped........sigh

go steelers! cant stand the damn pats....

Ninja don't worry. The Messiah may not be that good against the Jets, but remember he was sent to us from God to end the Pats dynasty. God obviously intervened on Saturday for Ben to fulfill his destiny.

I hate the Steelers, but damn do I hope they kick the living shit out of the Pats.

But either way...GO NFC! I'm all for either team winning it,though I would rather have the Falcons win it all.

The celebration mobs would be second only to those that would result from the Saints winning the super bowl :)

Damn it Colts I was hoping you would at least make this a respectable game..... SHIT!

I agree even though the AFC is heavily favored no matter who wins between the Pats/Stealers.

I wish Tony Dungy wouldve stayed with the Bucs. Eagles would have a superbowl ring right now.

Its a shame you cant always get what you want. Eagles are better on both sides of the ball. Its funny how pissed off the CBS announcers seemed when they were talking about the philly victory. I think all of them picked against us.

That was one of the sorriest two-minute drills I've ever seen. There's a reason that the underneath route in the middle of the field is left open.

the steelers better beat the shit out of the pats next week. I think they can since they won't have some tailor-made defense to combat their offense, and hopefully won't get a bunch of bullshit calls going their way (along with missed penalties they should have had called against them) like today.

You shouldn't trust them cause you already know how this game is going to end. The focus leading up to the game will be on the Pats injuries and the phenomenal roll Indy is on(just like last year). The story after the game will be about the Patriots dominant offense that kept Peyton off the field as well as the clutch defensive play of the "forgotten" trio of Bruschi,Harrison and McGinest. It's destiny. :lol

Indeed! :lol

Well, now I guess I can only hope for a Falcons-Steelers Bowl.... but if it comes down to the hated Eagles vs. the hated Pats, it's going to be Eagles all the way for me.

Hopefully you'll be as right about the Eagles-Falcons game as you were about the Falcons-Rams game because that would equal a Falcons victory. "Vick's overrated!!" "P

I never said the falcons would lose, I just said vick was overrated, which he is. A ton of teams have handled him pretty eaisly this year. The falcons offense is completely one dimensional and their secondary is garbage. If they run right at Trotter they are in for some pain. I honestly would not be surprised to see another blowout.

LETS GO INSURANCE ADJUSTERS LETS GO!

HATERS OWNED!

(patriots are ripe for the picking, right?)

He's played poorly against the Jets twice.

Let's take any other random NFL quarterback who has played badly against one opponent with great consistency...oh, let's go with Peyton Manning. Just for fun. Any teams that he can't beat? Nope...just can't think of one team that beats the shit out of him every time they face off...not a one. I'll get back to you when I can though, I'm sure it'll hit me eventually.

You know, I was listening to the radio at work and all of a sudden..bam...it hits me. The patriots! I knew there was a team that Manning just can't beat, but you know, I can't imagine why I couldn't think of them. Hmph, go figure. I mean, how could I forget that the team they were playing today is the team that hands Peyton Manning his own ass every time they play? Such a mystery.

I'm kind of glad the Steelers will be seen as the underdogs in the game vs. the Pats. They tend to choke in big games when favored....the Jets game was a notable exception only cause they pulled it out of their ass somehow.

My money's on the Steelers.

On the NFC side, I'd love to see the Falcons get there. I was never a big Vick fan, but he was a monster on Saturday night. As much as I'd like to see an all-Pennsylvania Super Bowl, I want the Falcons to win.

What's with everyone drinking the Patriots Hatorade? Granted, I didn't think they stood a chance in their game against Indy this time-- but Manning's team let him down with dropped passes and an unresponsive rushing attack, while New England eventually won with a steady diet of Corey Dillon and a short passing attack.

I'm rather cynical... I don't think that the Pats will do well in Pittsburgh next weekend, and it doesn't help that the pundits have again fallen in love with the boys in red, white, and blue. SI's Don Banks and ESPN's Sean Salisbury have already handed the Pats the Vince Lombardi trophy, which isn't a positive sign. Even with Big Ben suddenly playing like the rookie he is, the Steelers still have the best defense in the NFL and have a two-pronged rushing attack in Duce and The Bus. Sure, I think that the Pats have a chance to win-- but I don't see Corey Dillon rushing for 140+ yards again.

If, however, the Patriots do win at Heinz Field next weekend, it's one hell of an accomplishment. Beating the best team in the NFL just a week after beating a team that boasted one of the most prolific offenses of all time deserves some credit, whether you're sick of New England winning all the time, getting all the breaks, or whatever the reason for the hate is.

Prediction: Steelers 13, Patriots 10.

Turning to the NFC, the Falcons sure looked impressive this past weekend... but it helps when the #1-ranked rushing offense in the NFL gets to shred a rush defense that was ranked #29. The Eagles defense will send a ton of blitzes at Michael Vick (whom I agree is overrated as a quarterback-- not as a rusher). Vick doesn't handle blitzes well, and is prone to making poor throws (he's horribly inaccurate) and decisions. The Eagles had no problems dismissing the Minnesota Vikings, and McNabb looked pretty good. Freddie Mitchell apparently wants to step up in T.O.'s absence. McNabb still has issues with low throws, especially under pressure, but I don't see Atlanta's front seven overpowering the Eagles' O-Line. The Eagles look fresh, and I've just got the feeling that this is finally the year that they break out.

Prediction: Eagles 24, Atlanta 17.

I was thinking the same thing...

I hope the football gods spare us and have the Pats either lose in the AFC chamionship game or the Super Bowl...if not, I will be forced to believe there are no such things as football gods.

I will never understand this. Cowher's playoff teams always seem to stink it up when they are huge favorites. Most of their games come when they were not supposed to do anything. I know most people are going to pick the Pats, but I really like the way we match up against the Pats. I think the Pats are definitely vulnerable against the run up the middle and when you have Kreider throwing blocks, there will be some huge holes. I am hoping we start Staley, I love the Bus, but I think Staley is just too much for defenses to handle because there is always a threat of him breaking one.

This is definitely me being superstitious, but I feel like it was a good thing that everything went wrong for our offense last week. We were due for "one of those games". I mean Ben hasn't made throws like that all year and the Bus NEVER fumbles and yet they both did that a few times in the 4th quarter.

In the end, I think homefield will be the key that propels us to the Superbowl. That and my earlier proclamation that Ben is the Messiah, he will deliver us from the Pats and take us to the promised land.
