Yes. Gamecube is a great console and those Zelda games will lend themselves towards hours of fun...though if you have OoT 3D, MM3D and WWHD then there's slightly less to get out of it.

Like I said, it might be worth a try. I'm not especially confident that's the problem, but could be. Is that a US launch model? Those had a ridiculous amount of paste on them. They trimmed the amount back a lot in later batches.

Just a heads up: Some people in this thread had issues with their save files corrupting on that Zelda compilation.
Save corrupting? I haven't heard that. I've heard of MM crashing though.

my eyes are twitching. why are the GCN games not all vertical? why mix some vertical, some horizontal and do the same with the Wii games? I must know.

Imagine this: the shelf length is give or take double of what you see in the picture. There are no less than 6 Wii games in the middle standing upright. Making for a total of 10 wii-games counting those on top of the 6. Left of that 6 standing Wii games, there are exactly 16 gamecube games standing upright, with 4 laying on top of them, again, making for a round number of 20 total gamecube games.
Remember how I said to imagine the shelf length to be double give or take? (this is a Gamecube thread, so it would be perfectly reasonable for him/her to only take a picture of the left side of the shelf, containing the gamecube collection...
. Okay, now imagine exactly 16 WiiU games standing to the right of the 6 Wii games, and, again, 4 WiiU games lying on top of those 16 WiiU games. Making for a total of 20 WiiU games, exactly mirroring the Gamecube layout. This way, the games are equally divided in numbers: each of the consoles have 4 games for their system lying on top. Conclusively there are 16 Gamecube games left of the 6 Wii games and 16 WiiU games right of the 6 Wii games. In addition to that they may even be shelved in order of purchase-date!This might calm your OCD.

Hi fellow GameCube fans. You may remember that at some point last year I posted a message about sending off my Gamecube for a custom colour job. Well...I finally have it. The package arrived a few weeks back, but had to put off opening it due to unforeseen circumstances. I had it coloured yellow. Apologies for the awful photos, took them on my phone, don't have a DSLR or anything, and not good at taking photos.
I love it. Will hopefully take a few pictures of it sitting on my black Gameboy Player soon. Woohoo.
P.S. It may look a bit orangey in the photos, but it's very much yellow.
That Yellow Cube looks nice man! I've custom painted like 5 of my GameCube's and 2 of my N64's. I need to repaint two GameCube's but haven't gotten around to doing that.
Here's a White N64 and GameCube I did for my best friend.
His consoles are the popular attraction at his College. People been idolizing them, maybe I should get into the custom paint job business. I mean, I do know how to repair / clean them out. Lol

This was done by me ages ago i sprayed my old purple cube with colour changing flip paint it changes colour between purple, red & green. All my old pics are gone but this one is still online although someone shopped the controller ports to black to make it look a bit like the gundam cube. In the original pic the ports are still grey.
Very nice colour, I like this photo in perticular.
I'd buy a N64 as cheap as possible (cosmetic damage doesnt matter, you'll paint anyway) and paint that one. That way you wont have to search for a mint N64 in the future, which may become quite costly.
Is that metallic paint? Red is such a beautiful colour, I imagining it blending nicely colour-wise, with the light-grey front panel. I have one shelf for GameCube, Wii and Wii U games.
There was no clean way of having them all on there in one vertical row and the other shelf space is full of my 300+ Xbox 360 games.

Thanks! The N64 and GC you did look awesome. Are they matte coats? I really like the N64. Also, yes, you should definitely look into a custom paint job business. Especially as you know how to do repairs / cleaning. Do you think you can do handhelds?

Need some help GAF. I can get 5 USA Nintendo Gamecube controllers original brand and 2 USA memory cards 251 original brand all sealed (though the boxes have some dents here and there) for 100 euro including shipping. Is that a good deal?
Also, should I splurge some extra cash and ask for 200 euros for 13 controllers and 5 memory cards?

Ok, thaks for the answer. I thought maybe gamecube controllers devaluated because of the smash 4 controllers re-release. I'll go for it then.

I don't think controllers ever got particularly expensive. New, first party ones (white controller with the longer cord) have been available on Amazon for around $30 for years. I think they are on Play Asia too.

I managed to get some great pickups.
For £8 I found CvS2: EO Japanese complete and in great condition. Comes with all inserts and even the CvS2 memory card!
And(No joke), a wavebird controller for £10 from cash converters.
It needs a bit of cleaning a new C-stick but daaaayum!

I really feel for you europeans who have to deal with different-colored triangle bullcrap. Here in the US, we have to deal with Black Label/Player's Choice/Greatest Hits, and they stick out like sore thumbs... even worse on PS3 with the different spines due to a rebranding in 2009. Argh.
But at least you guys have the superior GameCube spines. I have to wonder what was NOA's reasoning behind putting the Nintendo GameCube portion at the bottom vs the top like every other disc game. :/

I never understood American GameCube packaging.
The GameCube logo is at the bottom and the case has that weird hole at underneath.

Trying to make them stand out, I suppose. Really stupid, too, because they didn't. I think using DVD cases was dumb; the little Japanese cases should've been the standard worldwide - or maybe a redesign of the same size without the external sleeve. The point is, they should've emphasized the small system and disc size. Made it a strength, or at least tried to, instead of trying to make the cases look just like PS2 games.
The poor Gamecube spent the whole gen as the butt of jokes about the handle, and complaints from the games media about disc capacity. If Nintendo would've marketed that as a strength - small, easily portable system and cute little game cases that actually do stand out in a store - it might not have gotten such a bad reputation as a 2nd-rate PS2.
The Gamecube was such a fantastic console. Nintendo handled pretty much everything about it badly, aside from their own game development, that is.

Thanks from me, too! I'm not sure if I had the updated driver, but I just built a new PC, so now I don't have to dig it up.
I bought one of those after my memory card failed and I lost my 100% complete F-Zero GX save. That really stung. I'd beaten the game on Master with every car to unlock every ending, unlocked all the arcade cars, completed Story Mode on every difficulty...and when I went to backup my save to another card, like I'd done with every other game I had, I found out that the save was locked. WHY?
Then the card failed. If I knew who at Nintendo or Amusement Vision was responsible for deciding to lock the save, I would happily have flown to Japan to choke them.
Anyway, I got the USB card and keep all my backups there now...including my not-100% F-Zero GX save. Grrr.
Now featuring a Japanese game!
Nice! You may throw in one of those normal dvd cases with missing artwork/booklets housing only the game. With some white paper as front/back cover, and plain black-marker writing on the sleeve stating what title it is. Or one of those "gamestop" used custom generic covers for gamecube. I'm quite positive it will look stellar!

For what it's worth, I have a single PS2 and OG Xbox game next to them followed by a few DVDs and books that fill the remaining space. So that it looks as un-uniform as possible

It's one of the few GameCube games that came in a special box.
Look, it's a little cat.
If you're into Shoot 'Em Ups this is a game well worth getting (Along with Ikaruga obviously).
