Kirby and the Forgotten Land - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World | Review Thread

Picked up the upgrade pass for $10 since Comcast gave me a $10 Gamestop GC.

You didn't get DK Bananza? That game is awsome.

For you everything is like that.

Nah. I was pretty high on Monkey Kong at first, I just don't think they did a good job of utilizing the transformations as the game dragged, and boy did it drag, on with no meaningful difficulty ramp until after you complete the campaign, not to mention that psychological tricks that all games employ were a bit too obvious. It's a good game, especially by launch software standards, but like with most games these days just overstays its' welcome.

I disagree completely I 100% in 65+ hours I never it burn out to me it was soooooo fun.

You would have to be insane to pay $80 for this. Just get a second hand copy from e-bay and pay or the Switch 2 upgrade.
Luckily I was able to trade in my Switch 1 copy and also got extra trade-in credit for putting it towards the preorder. I then used some of my extra store credit and my monthly $5 Gamestop credit towards it.

Ultimately I got the game for ~$45 and yeah, no way in hell would I have paid $80. Still, very much worth it considering I now have everything on card.

I finished it back on Switch 1 and liked it.

Bought the upgrade since there are no new switch 2 games and I got bored in 5 min and can't really remember what the switch 1 version looked like so to me this looks the same (even tho I know it looks better).

I'm not a Kirby fan, but I really liked my time with Forgotten Land. That said, I had a feeling it would be a one-and-done experience. I'll see if my feeling hold up over the weekend.
