Those games would indeed not be exclusive, which is also irrelevant.

Nowhere does the article mention the game has to be exclusive, in fact it counts several games which are not exclusive.

Again, this list has been created by someone just looking at Wikipedia. And that's why it's not accurate. The author didn't care if a game was exclusive or crossbuy or anything like that.

Edit: To give an example, for PS3 he's counted Minecraft as a first party million seller. Are you willing to admit the list is inaccurate?

The article title literally says "Nintendo Switch", which is 1 console of itself. It is not that hard to see that they are implying it has to be an exclusive in some extend. There's no need to dumb down their explanation when that's that explicit and common sense.

Those games are exclusive in their context of being able to play on that console if you buy from there.

17 more than the DS, the full list is

Pokémon Legends Z-A will join them and so hopefully will Metroid Prime 4.

EDIT - The PS5 number seems to be too low, it's missing some games we know about and cross gen games like GOW:R. Not sure exactly how many but it should be above it's current position and possibly behind the PS4.
Not very accurate tho. Xbox series and one have most cross gen games with millions copies sold on steam. Also nintendo doesn’t have that many first party on one console.. so maybe you are considering third parties as well? In this case ps5 has some numbers left

Some funny accounting used here.. you should let it slide, otherwise endure the autism screetches.

The PS3 is 1 console of itself, yet they count Minecraft as a first party million seller. To what extent is Minecraft exclusive?

The Xbox One is 1 console of itself, yet they count Rise of the Tomb Raider and Dead Rising 4.

How are these games more exclusive than Helldivers 2?

You are putting way more thought into this than the author. He didn't think about cross buy or cross gen or exclusivity or anything like that. He just read some Wikipedia pages.

It's based on Wikipedia. The Nintendo numbers are accurate because they report all million sellers (Switch does have 72 million sellers for instance).

But the Xbox and PlayStation are definitely undercounted. There will be more in reality than what Wikipedia shows.

The article didn’t break down the individual titles though? I am not sure why the presumption that he is basing it off wikipedia. feel free to contact him and tell him he should base his methodology around yours and amend the chart.

Because I checked the Wikipedia lists for some of the consoles and the numbers line up exactly with him counting from there.

If you don't think we know what the individual titles are, why have you been saying its so obvious that cross buy titles aren't included?
