Well, if it's just direct port, then it could be just NB. IF there are more companies getting involved, then that's a good sign that we might get new contents. I hope.

I just want to hear one sentence from anyone on Smash NX. It's getting new characters (or new contents) either way, it would be great for us to starting up our Smash Train.

I think they probably already have a plan for Smash NX ever since late 2014 to early 2015, so that would make it easier for them to regain those third party characters through license deals.

The "tier list" itself doesn't mean anything, but that's just a general time frame for which the game wont' feel as "fresh" anymore.

Well, Smash NX is rumored to be in works but we don't have any idea what it would be.

It would be great to see them doing Palutena Guidances, Custom Moves, Assist trophies from Bayonetta, Street Fighter and Final Fantasy 7, Event Modes, etc for those DLC characters and new additions.

Honestly, I don't mind to see couple veterans and some numbers of newcomers. Seeing Rowlet3 in 3D model made me want him even more. I hope that they would consider Splatoon's Inkling and Rhythm Heaven Rep as well.

To be fair, I have been following the NX with close intent, manage an NX fan page, and pretty much salivate over Nintendo and have been avoiding this thread over the past couple of days, mainlyy because I am used to any news making it to it's own thread if it has substance.

They do, but the threshold of "usable" latency is far, far lower when you're talking about tracking a VR headset vs streaming a game to a Wii U gamepad. Worst-case latency on Vive's head tracking is reportedly 1ms (and that's the Vive Pre, the final hardware may even have improved on that), whereas Wii U's video latency is about 16ms. They could possibly get that down by processing the video on the camera/dock/whatever and only sending the positional data over rather that the full video stream, but getting consistent low-latency over an RF connection is still difficult, even with low bandwidth requirements. Also keep in mind that this latency would be added on top of the latency inherent in capturing and processing the video, which means that even if they could get the transmission latency down to, say 5ms, you're still looking at more than 5ms total latency for the head-tracking solution.
 
I swear! Every time I see NX in the title I get so excited then the crushing disappointment of reality sinks in.

My speculation? I'm not too sure about the hybrid console thing... Though if it is I do believe it'll be called Nintendo Cross or Nintendo X for short. I just want to see Zelda running on this damn thing already. It already looks so good on Wii U I can't even imagine what it would look like with PS4 or even better level power.

I remember going into this year all excited we're finally going to see the NX in June. How dumb I was...

by the way I didn't include my prediction when the topic was about that,

I predict that nintendo will speak out about NX this or next week

but that they'll reveal in January.

Hmm I'm expecting all business. Nintendo usually only uses skits and comedy to reveal games or special hardware (like the Galaxy N3DS). For a new console / system reveal, I expect a pretty direct Direct. Lighthearted maybe, but not comical.
