Except Jenn Heil didn't choke. She put down a spectacular run and was just beaten squarely by the American.
I didn't mean that she choked, I meant that because she was so hyped to be the first gold medalist, and since she was the defending gold medalist, it was kinda disappointing. Sorry.

So, a great Olympic, as we near the end. Canada did a damn good job.

I think they'll begin to outpace the US more and more as time goes on, though, if they continue this Own the Podium stuff. I don't foresee good things for our athletes. It's true that we have the highest-paid athletes in the world, but they're highly paid only after they get through the initial grind of no exposure and a total lack of interest. Unless we get some more funding into developing talent instead of letting the prodigies struggle until they manage to make a name for themselves, we're going to fall back more and more.

Yeah there on there way to being a super power. Give me a damn break. The US has had top contenders in nearly every sport and their near double digits in gold, silver and bronze medals shows this. That's a lot of sliver and even bronze to be discounting just because the Canadians have 13 golds to our 9 or potentially 10 tomorrow.

Figure skating gala exhibition. Odd that NBC doesn't broadcast it .. wasn't ladies figure skating the one thing they DID show live?

WTF is wrong with Brits? First a Brit who disguised as a Russian, now another Brit takes a shot at our Olympic

Hey Brits, how many medals you got?!? How's your Olympic coming along?

I like the 'come of age' part of the original article. Never mind we've hosted it twice before, first in 1976. The whole thing reeks of ignorance about Canada.

Also, England better let people use their facilities to practice in 2012.

Virtue and Moir for flagbearer.

I'd love that, but I think it will be either Bilodeau (for being first) or Rochette (for the obvious).
