What a game, what a game. Granted, I would like to have a better defense and get our wide outs to catch balls in their hands (they are freshman, give em time), but good lord did vince make a statement.

Rose Bowl was awesome... I dont know why, but I swear to God I thought the field goal was wide at the end of the day.. everyone around me was screaming going nuts and I was beating the shit out of an innocent ottoman. 30 seconds later I was informed that we won. Then I was happy. Vince Young and Braylan (SP?) Edwards are pimps. Cedric didnt do much, but I think he got hurt worse on that first play than he let on. Michigan is going to be good next year, they are returning some studs.
Oh yeah, and dear Cal please stop bitching now. You got dominated by a team on a 'neutral' field in your homestate that we destroyed on the road... and you havent really played Tech until you've played them on the high plains of West Texas.. any Big 12 fan can tell you how much faster they are on that wierd ass carpet they have in Lubock. Texas is a better team.
And yeah, Texas did get screwed last year.. but it was a situation where OU was better than us (they destroyed us last year) and KSU was the Big 12 champ... we werent mad at KSU (maybe miffed that OU lost, still got in the championship game but managed to keep us out of the Fiesta Bowl), we were mad at the system which is the different between us and Cal. Our QB didnt go on Rome and bitch about another teams coach... I felt bad for Cal until the second their fans and players started talking. I had an ear to ear grin watching the Techtards dismantle the Bears... and I hate Tech (I had a bleacher thrown into my section in Lubbock 2 years ago).
Cal disrepected Texas Tech for the last 3 weeks by talking about how they were going to make statement, by saying they were going to beat Tech by 50... and when your QB more or less said he was going to announce he was going to announce he was going pro after the game... Hmm, did I miss Vince Young finally opening a can of whoopass? Every other time I've caught him this year, he's made mistakes, or was just slinging it. Maybe I caught them at a bad time, but I hate Texas. Anyway, he's got the skills to be big time. Seems like I've missed a lot of good games, but the Peach Bowl pissed me off to no end. I haven't been able to watch a game since. :lol PEACE.

As far as Texas last year? We lost the game last year because outside of Roy Williams no one really seemed to give a damn.. if you watched the game you will know what Im talking about.. he was getting pissed off and yelling at other plays for missing blocks and going through the motions.. all that said we still lead that game at the half and had a chance at a last second drive to win the game... but Chance Mock was in at QB for most of the second half for reasons I dont get still. What happened to us last year and what happened to Cal this year are two different things. We lost to a top 10 team because we failed on a potential game winning drive after getting jobbed by the system... Cal got completely dismantled by a Tech team that is going to be top 20, barely... and did so after saying they wanted to beat them by 50. Remember my original quote, I said we didnt show up to play decent competition.. a Tech team that lost to New Mexico state is not decent competition, certainly not to the level of Wazzou last year.
As far as Texas had we not been in the Rose bowl this year? I think we would have been disapointed and I dont think Vince would have shown up in the game.. he is a pretty emotional player. However, our opponent would have been ASU who hasnt looked very good at all, so I think we still would have won that game.
Like I said, Cal should have been in a BCS game before alot of teams.. but after the shit their players, coaches, fans and all media from the left coast have been talking the last 3 weeks? Im glad Tech beat them, Im glad they havent been to a Rose bowl in over 50 years.. and I hope they win the Pac 10 next year but are foced to play in the Fiesta Bowl. If only to hear the lead singer of the Counting Crows on Fox Sports bitching again.

Im not really whining about Cal fans whining, Im talking shit, there is a pretty big difference. I just think its funny after all the whining, bitching, finger pointing and name calling that Cal fell flat on their faces.
Yes, the University of Texas is in Austin, Texas. Ever been here? We dont like the rest of the state and they dont like us. Seriously, talking "your from Texas" smack isnt going to work on people from Austin, because whatever negative opinions you have of the state, we share them only much more pronounced because we have to deal with the rest of them on a regular basis.
And yeah "shit talk" is part of college football. If yo are going to do what Cal did and fail to back it up, you should be prepared to eat crow, its part of being a sports fan. God knows I do enough of it every October.

Well to be honest that LSU loss wasn't that hard a loss to accept.
They had shitty QB play all year, and if they didn't wait untill the last 5 minutes remaining to play they wouldn't have been in the situation.
It was a transition year with them at the QB position, that really killed them more than anything.
In fact I personally don't believe they should have been as high as they were anyway, 5 of their wins were won in the last few minutes of the game.
It's only fitting they didn't end up winning looking like they were better then they really were.
I had allready accpted that we were losing Nick Saban, which is far shittier news to accept than that one loss.

You got a decent coach in Miles.. he has put together some decent Okie St. teams with pretty bad recruiting.. but I cant help but thing he is 2 or 3 steps down from Saban.
Oh, and while Im here let me shamelessly steal someone elses stat break down on Vince vs. Vick in their redshirt So. seasons..

I thought Virginia Tech completely outplayed Auburn and if it wasn't for some really terrible luck (dropped easy wide open touchdown pass, missed incredibly short field goal, dropped open passes all night... a few of them for would be 1st downs) would have probably beaten Auburn easily.
To say that Auburn would deserve any part of the title would be a complete and total farce. They were basically beat by a #9 team tonight and only squeaked out a lucky win due to just amazing unfortunate events against VT. Top that off with some of the biggest puffcakes on their schedule, and any case is lost.
The team that wins tomorrow is the hands down champ, all by theirself. No question.
P.S. Utah would have beat the shit out of Auburn IMO. Would have loved to see a 4 team playoff.

I think utah's offense would eat up Auburn's defense if they ever played. I hope the utes get a decent ranking for the end of the season, they surely deserve it.
