VERY HARD hear I come mofucka!!!!!!!!!!!![/QUOTE]

So awesome. I fear that my now undetectable merchant of death will still find this to be a push over though. Chinese Stealth Suit + Perforator = stealthy deaths to all

I'm actually really excited about the DLC despite my earlier negative remark and I do hope it doesn't come with any major bugs.

Currently, I still have quite a number of sidequests left undone and I'm already Level 20. Once Broken Steel comes along, I would probably download Anchorage and the Pitt and play those first before diving back into the main game and Broken Steel.

I'm hoping for a discounted bundle but doubt they'll do that. I hit level 20 by the end and will probably get the rest of the dlc just to have more weapons and stuff to do to hit 30.

Is there any chance of the PS3 version getting a game of the year edition? I know Bethesda refuses to release any DLC for it, but I wonder if I should just wait for the GOTY version.

Yes Stealth ALLL the way, I'm myself play a pure stealth character. I sometimes like to go through whole dungeons without being seen at all!

My preferred method of killing is planting grenades and mines in people's inventory. The screams are just too good.

Soooo, does the level cap count the exp from the dlc missions if they were done already? Or is the exp normally gained from that just discarded into oblivion now?

I can't wait !!!! :)

Thanks for the confirm. Sort of a bummer, but at least you can play beyond the ending now. Though I wonder,
if you "choose" to sacrifice yourself after the new DLC is downloaded, does your game end? Do you have to make Lyons bite the bullet to access the beyond-ending material?
I haven't played the other two DLC packs yet, so I'm not sure how you access them; IIRC you load up an old pre-ending save. Will be interesting to see how well the new DLC is integrated into the story.

So, after two weeks, your eyes pop open, and you wake up. Turns out you didn't die after all, and Ron Perlman showing you your best bits was just a bit of a self-involved hallucination.
“There'll be no more ending,” says Pete Hines, Bethesda's Mouth of Sauron. “We've learned our lesson.” Fallout 3 die-hards can now start the long climb from Level 20 to the new cap of 30.

I wonder if they're going to even try to fix the gauss rifle. Its such a great gun but its glitches are so annoying.

Think you have a great headshot? Oh whoops! The shot went through the target. Man this sneak attack VATS shot is going to fuck this Super Mutant up real good. Whoops! The explosion effect fucked up VATS and now you used your sneak attack to shave off 3 bars of life.

Finished The Pitt. Endgame spoilers:

For a game all about choice of action, there wasn't even any middle ground in the kidnapping. Well, there was, but I was rewarded negatively for it. I didn't side with anyone because I didn't care about the slave's plight, ultimately, and I would've felt like a dick if I killed Ashur and his wife and taken the baby. And they give me bad karma. I think kidnapping and/or murder would've been worse than inaction, but whatever.

Needless to say, I hated it.

So I need a little modding help. I've installed the mods I want and am pretty sure i've got the right load order and dependencies but the game continues to crash.

Its Fallout Wanderers Edition, Fook, Marts Mutant Mod, Weapon Mod Kits and DarNified UI.

Theres my mod layout. I'm also using the 4 main environment reskins and the improved night sky mod. Any suggestions?

Just wondering, is the DLC ever coming to the PC? Sorry if this is a reduntant question which it probably is.

I believe they are just "changing" the ending so you can continue playing. They will raise the cap level to 30 and I think there will be a quest where you hunt down the remaining Enclave soldiers.

SPOILER TAGS PLEASE!! Some of us are still working our way though the wasteland! Something told me not to come in here. :(

Idk I enjoyed freeing the slaves. Fighting the trogs after they invaded uptown was probabaly the hardest fight I had in fallout 3. Even with the stealth boy they would still follow me. I guess it was not having fawkes to help me, I play on hard which is not super difficult but more fun imo.

any tips on getting the metal ingots? I have like 92/100 and can't find any more. Are they all in the steel yard?

The metal laser rifle you get is awesome. I've put about 5 hours into the pitt

Hmmm thats a hard one. You get the one behind the fence where you can only get to by jumping down? Also there are a few in the transition room between the mill and the steel yard.

I played through Fallout 3 on PS3 but then decided I wanted to play the DLC so I got the 360 collectors edition and bought both DLC packs.

Should I level my character close to 20 before I play those expansions or does it not really matter?

There's a youtube video that shows you where they all are.

I don't think it matters what level you are. Obviously it will be easier if you're a higher level but my second character was able to complete Operation Anchorage at lvl 6-8 without to much difficulty. Did the Pitt at around lvl 10...

Sounds good, I might go up a couple of levels, my thought was if I play the expansions first then new items I get might make re-playing the main quests over again a little more fun.

Some of the items you pickup in the expansions (stealth suit + Purfirator/AutoAxe/LightningSword) will make main game pretty easy - make sure to up the difficulty.

Should I wait for the Brooken Steel DLC before I start the game? Just got it recently for PC and can't wait to start...

Should I play vanilla before I get the other two DLC? My biggest gripe is that I don't want to get OP to early

Just start it, any DLC pack will be accessible in your play through as soon as you download it, and I really doubt that you'll reach level 20 before Broken Steel gets released.

Should I get two released DLCs or wait until I get to lvl 20 (high level)?
Doesn't really matter. Just start the game. There's so much stuff to do, and all the enemies will adapt to your level. So go out, explore the wasteland and do whatever you want, play however you like. Access the DLC early on, mid-game, or end-game, it's really up to you.

Do this, and know when to make a final save that you will keep until the Broken Sword DLC comes out.

Clear out the Jefferson Memorial with the Brotherhood of Steel but don't enter the rotuna. Once you stand before that door warp home. Do a final house cleaning of your character and save it then. You can then return to Jefferson and finish the last five minutes of the game.

yep, they have released them the same day as the 360, you need to use the pc live interface to get them.

I have the PC version and have them

Well I'll be damned! Sorry for taking so long to reply, but thanks!

I went ahead and picked up Project Anchorage and The Pitt. I had to start a new game because I put together a new computer since my last playthrough and my old computer's hard drive died, but I am already up to level 7 and blazing through the game. Hopefully I'll be level 20 and have finished both Anchorage and the Pitt by the time Broken Steel is released.

What? I thought there was no enemy scaling in this?

XiaNaphryz said:

Your right. I doesn't have a classic scaling system, my bad.

A variation of level scaling is used to control the difficulty of the main quest, but enemies in areas that are not essential to the main quest will not be scaled to your level. Some places will be adjusted to your level when you first enter them, but they will not level up when you return - unlike Oblivion, you won't find raiders in Power Armor. But at least a few Raiders have been seen using the Advanced Power Armor Mark II, they got from an Enclave Outpost they overrun.

XiaNaphryz said:

Theres SOME enemy scaling in it. Especially along the main storyline. You'll also notice that there are more Yao Guais/Deathclaws/higher level raiders present when you get past level 12/13.

But it's not like the entire world/loot/everything scales like with Oblivion.

It's scaling "lite." And the game doesn't suffer from it.

It's just the DLC on dvd right, not the game + content? I may as well wait for this if the price isn't much different.

I love the fact that it even says "Downloadable Content" on the box. Wow. :lol
Well it is downloadable content, doesn't seem wrong to me. Should it say expansion set or something?

Wonder why they didn't include the thrid (and best) DLC on the disk?

Diablohead said:

Downloadable media that's in a physical state, yeah, that's a lovely contradiction alright.

I really can't wait for Broken Steel to hit. I've a huge hankering for some FO3 action now and I still have a shitload of sidequests and the two DLCs to finish but I'm already at Level 20.

Does anyone remember that awesome poster that was posted a while back, 2 months or so, does anyone know where I can buy it!??
