YES! I actually bought Oblivion to hold me over until this DLC came out. I didn't think I'd like it as much as I do(due to the negativity surrounding it), and now I have to feed two addictions!

DAMNIT!

oh man. this is (almost) perfect timing. I'm done with finals wednesday morning... time to engrossed by the fallout world again.

The character I've been grooming for this is pretty much ready and waiting.

Started a new file to be evil and after a few days I'm already level 20 with most of the sidequest completed.

Before I finish anymore I'm gonna wait for the DLC, can't wait!

Level cap to 30 will really help me explore more of the high end perks.

My first play I had hardly any ammo left by the end but with my 2nd character I learned so much more, the first time I didn't even have a house in megaton and carried everything with me, now I get too much gear and ammo :lol

I stopped playing this months ago, waiting for the last of the DLC to come out, and started playing again yesterday. All the items I kept in the desk at the Megaton house because I didn't want to sell them or carry them around are gone.

God I can't wait. The only thing I'm concerned about is having enough new content to actually get me to level 30. I literally think I've done everything there is to do so far.

At least I get to do it 3 times for all the alignment achievements. :D

New possible DLC for fallout 3, called Point Lookout
http://www.nma-fallout.com/
The publisher was speaking after US retailer eStarland outed a fourth add-on called Point Look as part of a DLC bundle with Broken Steel. A similar retail deal containing Operation: Anchorage and The Pitt was confirmed to Eurogamer earlier this week. There's no further information about Point Look on eStarland's website.

Another claim supporting this is that Bethesda has only used 350 gamerpoints out of a possible 750 so far, and only 14 Achievements out of a possible 30 as established by the new DLC rules confirmed this morning. That suggests Bethesda has left plenty of room to grow Fallout 3 further.

hmmmm so

Fallout 3 DLC disc 1: Operation Anchorage, and The Pitt

Fallout 3 DLC disc 2: Broken Steel, and Point Lookout

http://shopping.msn.com/specs/fallo...l-point-look-for-microsoft-xbox-360-pre-order

makes the whole "why only 2 of the 3 dlc in the retail pack" issue clear...

How this affects the ending? just eliminate it?

I feel your pain.

basically what Im doing is this: Im going to load a save from just after I hit lvl 20 and continue playing from there. Otherwise theres just no possible way Ill get anywhere near lvl 30 as Ive pretty much clocked the map.

Despite this inconvenient annoyance, Im fucking excited as to be getting Broken Steele this week.

Yeah, totally cleared out the entire map on my first playthrough and wasted a crapload of experience.

However, I'm still extremely excited about doing it all over again. I anticipation to this I made a new character, did both DLCs that are already out, and called it quits the second I hit level 20 in anticipation for this.

I hope that the 360 and PS3 are around for a long time more to come, but I want next-gen consoles just so I can have Fallout 4.
My pitch would be set in NYC, similar to I Am Legend, but no way that current consoles would pull that off. Also wouldn't mind a Fallout 3-on-steroids deal either.

But I'd probably say this is my favorite game on this generation of consoles.

I was 15 hours into the game but I felt too bad about
blowing up megaton
(probably not really a spoiler to anybody anymore), and so I just started the game over.

Isn't it funny how we can feel bad about a bunch of collections of 1s and 0s. :)

I just can't bring myself to be an asshole in these types of games. Even on my second playthru I'm having a hard time being mean.

sometimes I really don't want to, but then I remember that I installed the weapon mods mod so I can do cool things like make the combat shotgun fully automatic fire so I'll start going on random killing rampages and no one can stop me. hehehe

I really can't wait for Broken Steel.
When I first heard about the DLC packs I stopped playing (was that a few months now?). I was around level 11 or 12 and about half way through the main missions.

I started playing again after buying the first two DLC packs and I've been sitting at level 20 for a few weeks now waiting (not so) patiently.

I'll jump straight in and complete the main story-arc first thing.

Sorry if this has been answered fifty times, but if I download Broken Steel and then complete the main story, will the uncompleted side quests (eg, 'You Gotta Shoot Em in the Head', ‘Blood Ties’ et al.) still be available?

Yeah definitely.

That's what I did as well except that I have yet to purchase OA and The Pitt.

For those who care (no one prolly) there was a new video card update that I didn't know about. Game works fine now.

I don't deserve my gaming PC if I make dumbass oversights like this :(

I've been waiting for Tuesday since the middle of January. I played to level 20, played about 30 minutes past that, then stopped cold turkey while I marked time waiting for the level cap increase. Already bought The Pitt & O:A, still haven't put the game back in my system since I stopped that wintry night 3 1/2 months ago. MAN, it was tough to stop playing. I didn't want to spoil the rest of the adventure by finishing, then playing again. Fortunately, my OCD has been a real benefit to me with F3, because I think I've only found about 1/3rd of the places on the map, and only completed about 1/4th of the storylines. I spent the rest of my time killing shit and picking everything up I could to sell it. I felt like WALL-E for a little while, but I'll never have to worry about running out of ammo or weaponry, because I couldn't spend all the caps I have going forward if I wanted to....

60 hours so far and I've still got so much game to finish!!!!!!

I was tempted to wait until I had all three packs in one massive helping, but I caved in and completed the first two.

I have little in the way of willpower. :(

Well, my only concern with the two DLCs was that all the exp I get in them would be wasted since I'm already Level 20 but if you've only just hit 20 after finishing the DLC, at least you haven't "wasted" much or any experience at all.

Ah, yeah I was only at about level 12-14 (I can't quite remember) and after the two DLC packs and some random exploring/killing/gathering I hit 20.

It was so hard putting the controller down after just getting into the swing of things.

We're so close to Broken Steel! I hope it hits early morning tomorrow so I can get it downloaded in a semi-timely fashion on my shitty DSL. Can't wait to start working my way to 30!

Oh boy Oh boy Broken Steel tomorrow :D

I have to ask, which expansion is better in terms of quests, sidequests and stuff. The Pitt or OA?

Also I finished all the sidequest listed on the Achievements, is there more sidequest? like hidden ones

Wow, Broken Steel already? Damn, still need to buy The Pitt, but since I had already hit lvl 20 this will be a great incentive to start playing again.

Well now I am up to level 13, I played both The Pitt and OA so far, I am having a lot of fun replaying quests I already did on the PS3 version as well. This game is like crack to me, I don't remember the last time I had as much fun with a game as I do Fallout 3.

BRING ON BROKEN STEEL!

I have a 360 and a PS3, I got the PS3 version of Fallout as a gift. Do I seriously have to trade it in ( which is what I'll do ) for the 360 version? I was willing to wait for Game of the Year for both but I am starting to worry.

Fuck yeah I'm stoked. going by walmart tonight to get me a points card. Most of my quests are done though I guess I'll just go grinding with fawkes.

Yeah dude. I doubt ps3 will get the dlc.

Btw I was playing killzone 2 with you the other day. On wasteland bullet

Operation Anchorage offers better stuff. I think the Chinese Stealth Suit alone is better than everything in The Pitt combined. If you add in the Gauss Rifle, that Winterized power armor (T-51b I think) and Jingwei's Shocksword, its not even a contest. This isn't even adding in the glitched weapons with near infinite durability.

I enjoyed The Pitt more than Operation Anchorage, but yeah the equipment you get for doing Anchorage is a lot better than the stuff from the Pitt.

I think Operation Anchorage, I had more fun with that one as well, The Pitt was still fun but if you only get one I would go for Operation Anchorage.

I wonder if it's possible to level up from level 20 to 30 just by doing all the Broken Steel stuff...

How do you get the chinese stealth suit in OA?

Can I go back and do it? I only have 1 character. The power armor and gauss rifle from OA are awesome. The loot from pitt sucked imo

excited for the level increase. I finished the game, but had a lot of side quests to finish. Didn't want to get wasted experience points. Now I can play through some of the other side quests while I gain levels.

Anyone know what the new Perks are?

Ok, can anyone help me with a problem on the PC version?

I can only play for like 5 to 10 minutes, sometimes less at a time. It freezes and I have to go out to quit. I dont have ffdshow, since I know that was causing issues. I cant find any explanation or help online to fix this. I want to play operation anchorage and the pitt so bad but can never. With broken steel coming out, I want to play this.

I have the steam version if that makes any difference, and am running it on Vista 64 Ultimate.

Thanks.

Ok, will do.

Don't judge me it was 2:30am and I was on an exhausted, heavy eyed, gaming bender.
How did I do?
