Dude I feel you. I had to ask GAF how to beat this part too. You just have to listen to the advice the Dark Knight gives you, and not attack.

This brings back memories.

Man do people not understand the meaning of the word "sheathe" or something? :lol

When the game said "A true paladin would sheathe his sword." that basically sent alarms off in my head going "HEY IDIOT DON'T ATTACK"

I redid the fight without attacking and it worked.

So, is there any way to win it 'after' you've hit him a few times? I used 5 hi-potions and kept defending first time around and the battle didnt end till i died.

You can actually 'win' by attacking, I just tried it for the sake of it, used a crapload of potions and it worked. :lol

I'm almost done with this game. My characters are between Levels 92-99 (with about 4 or 5 of em at 99, I think), and I've got 99% of the monsters logged in my bestiary. Scouring the Lunar Ruins for the last 2 or so enemies I'm lacking. I've completed all the trials, beaten all the bosses.

Amazing fucking game. One of the best expanded remakes ever, IMHO.

Damn, that reminds me of my original FF2 game. All chars to lvl 99, except Rosa who had lvl 93. Dont know anymore how much time was on the counter. Its been 13 years I think...

how much exp. did you get? did you raise any levels?

fucking shit! I am at the last part of the game, all my characters are like level 40ish. I've been trying to get the weapons but always killed by the protectors. how high my levels should be?

I'd recommend level 50+
