agreed. I'm especially screwed for my poli sci final, for which I have attended less than half the lectures and got a 70 on the previous exam. hell, i actually have one final tomorrow and very little actual studying has been done. as proven by this post itself.

Turned in a paper today for one.. turned in another paper last Friday for one. First test tomorrow at 3 for Spanish.. then another 5 essay question final due on Wednesday at 7 fucking 30 and another test on Friday. Then I just have 1 semester left of school, woot.

I looking forward to this year. Except for begging for an extension to a five minute chinese dialogue due today, I should do fine.

I took my finals before Thanksgiving due to the quartet system and I got A's on all of them. :)

Good luck to ALL of you.

I have a Calculus I final on Wednesday. I'm hoping I do real well.

On the bad side of things, as soon as I pass this, I've signed myself up for a Calculus II class, which eats up my week every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8:30 am. If I fail this, I don't know what I'm going to do.

History of Technology is probably ok, but I haven't read any course content at all except for one week's. I got a B+ on a midterm paper that was 10 pages long. Knowing me, I'll probably read all the course content the night after the Math final (which is conveniently the night before this History final.)

Intro Computer Science.. well, let's just say that's going to be easy as hell.

Wrote Western Civ History this morning, owned that shit. I write English Friday, and then Spanish, Poli Sci and Psych Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.

Got one term paper back (A disappointing 80 in Poli Sci), am getting another back this afternoon. Did a presentation instead of a term paper in English, aced it, one less thing to worry about.

Assuming I have enough points when I go in today, I shouldn't have to take my Japanese final. That leaves me with one Polisci final (ugh) but I took the class pass/fail, so I'll just need something like >70% on the final to pass (hoo-ray)

Next week is essentially a fourth week of Christmas break!

Yeah, I'm dead for my finals.

Dec. 11: Mechanical Engineering
Dec. 16: Linear Algebra (intro class)
Dec. 17: Logic Design (intro)
Dec. 18: Electric Circuits (intro)
Dec. 22: Calculus II
Dec. 22: Differential Equations

Hah! I'm finished with final exams, as of this morning. To be honest, I don't think I did as well this semester as I have in the past (meaning I probably got B's instead of A's), but since this is the end for me I really don't care anymore. The only thing to look forward to now is graduation in two weeks.

...

Of course, being finished just means that now I have to kick my "REAL job" search into high gear.

Dec. 9 Finance exam
Dec. 11 Geography exam
Dec. 13 Networking exam
Dec. 14 Law exam
Dec. 15 Access + VB.net exam
Dec. 18 Systems Analysis exam

I am scared shitless for the Finance exam. Done no homework, skipped about half the lectures and got 60% on the first midterm. I've been in similar situations with last few semesters' accounting and statistical courses, but really, do IT professionals really need all these financial/accounting courses??

I found out last week that it turns out I've already graduated, so none of the classes I've taken this semester will count. It's a mess, really. But now I can choose which finals to go to and which to skip.

I'm skipping 2 of them, I'm writing one in a week.

1 this friday in Archaeology, should be easy.

2 December 16, Math 308 - Matrix Algerbra and Engligh 225 - Shakespeare.

The big problem is, I will be in Las Vegas, and I don't get home until 2 am December 16th, then I have my Math final at 8 am. I am already failing the class, this could be the nail in the coffin. I will probably get > 2.0 in math, 3.0 even in Shakespear, and a 3.4 in Archaology.

I hate my finals schedule.

12/7/04 2pm-4pm -- Graduate Behavior Analysis final
12/10/04 8am-10am -- Research Design final

So I have to sit around this stupid po-dunk town until Friday, the last day of finals, at the crack of dawn before I can leave for a month in Seattle. The tests themselves won't be too bad, I just want out of Ellensburg.

I will ace all my exams EXCEPT for spanish. FUCKING SPANISH 1 I AM A FUCKING RETARD FOR NOT ATTAENDING CLASS OR DOING HOMEWORK.

I always get nervous when it comes to finals but I've never really felt any dread or doom. I have a huge Social Psychology on Tuesday and I'm really dreading it, like it's pointless to even take the test because I'm doomed already. It's open book but that doesn't mean much. The book is nearly worthless and because it's open book, she's making the questions extra difficult.

The irony is that Social Psychology was supposed to be one of those easy A classes. All my other Psychology courses I've taken were pretty easy anyway. I have a Genetics test tomorrow and a Calc test on Monday and I'm not dreading them like I am this Soc. Psych. class. :(

I think I'm pretty much fucked in two classes right now. This is my worst semester of school ever, and I haven't even registered for next semester either.

I'm seriously in the shitter right now. :(

Damn this forum and it's ability to lure me away from my work.

Two nights in a row, and right this very moment, I've set aside time to work on papers due tomorrow and thursday. Here I am posting at the forum though.

Damn.

They begin. This year I don't have any "I have no idea what's going on" classes, so I'll be suprise if I do bad on any of em.

Dec 13th - Microbiology (don't like his teaching methods but meh)
Dec 16th - Drug Design (boring class, funny to see that one old hippie get kicked out cause he didn't go to the school)
Dec 18th - Spectroscopy (hello curve!)
Dec 19th - DNA & Diagnostics (ON A SUNDAY! U OF WINDSOR YOU HAVE NO SOUL!)

thursday: intro to film
saturday: statistics 100

Microbiology is the most interesting course ive ever taken

Must be the teacher. Mine's not bad, but what he teaches is never what he tests. It might sound great when you here "he gives you all the questions beforehand!", but when you have to go through 200 Multiple Choice, 100 definitions, about 60 short answer questions and on top of all that, a question worth 10% of your final mark which we will have no previous knowledge of... it really isn't a cool final.

The talk about diseases was cool, as well as the discovery of certain cures, but few questions test on that.

true, but even the microbial genetics is interesting and cell signalling of microrganism.

btw have fun in spectroscopy, i dropped that course for a reason :p

Well that's good to hear, since I'm registered for it next semester. :D I'm currently trying to finagle getting into the lab section as well, but it seems to be open only to biology majors. :( Guess I'll have to stick with the lecture only if the professor whom I do research with can't pull some strings with the department chairperson. :p

Eh I had the most boring professor. Not only was she disorganized and jumped from one topic to another, she bought in her homeless-looking crazy retired husband to teach about Woese's domains.

He went all out with these domains. We had to learn about ancient lab techniques and all the pluses and minuses of the Woese's classification system. Never have I had a professor so obsessed over phylogeny.

Oh yeah, she absolutely loved history. It felt like half of the class was over memorizing names and whatever lab technique they invented.

I have precisely one final. And it's for a freshman level course. Har har, being a senior rocks. :D

That said, the last time I have the class is on December 9th (this Thursday), but the final isn't until the 21st. WTF?

So...

Hah! We have a microbio professor who does exactly the same thing. One of my fellow tutors and I were talking this past spring about her microbio final, and she was like, "he gives you all the possible questions in this question bank-- ~200 questions". So I was like "oh, how bad can it be? Just memorize the 200 questions, then"-- she started laughing and went "let me show you one of the questions as an example..."

She then proceeded to show me PART A of a two-part question (one of 200 in the question bank, mind you), which asked for the "native bacteriofauna of each system shown, along with their function" or some such. The question had a diagram of the human body with boxes for the lungs, intestines etc.-- 6 boxes in all, each with 4-6 lines for the names (genus and species) of the native bacteria, for a total of 30-35 bacteria being needed, along with their function or some such. This was part A of a single question. I was stunned.

So I said, "now I see why you can't memorize them all." :D :lol

You know what sucks about my math class? Our last midterm was out of 100 points, there were 3 questions, one multiple choice question worth 35 fucking points. Our final is supposed to be 5 questions, 200 points. If you don't show your work exactly the way the teacher wants you get automatically half credit. You have to write several paragraphs to explain your answer. The math is pretty easy, just the teacher is hella hard. I hate matrix algerbra. I am glad I am done with all my calculus, and this will be my last math class ever.

Just finished my graduate level behavior analysis exam, now I get to wait around until Friday at 8am for my research design exam. Ugh.

I knew what I was getting into when I signed up for it. Sure, 80% of the class failed the second midterm, no biggie, I wasn't one of 'em. :D

Mainly cause I took Organometallic chemistry so NMR stuff comes to me naturally now.

This isn't going to be fun. I really haven't found myself able to pay attention very well lately, so now I'm trying to cram like mad. I've got Federal Courts & Jurisdiction on Thursday, and Secured Transactions next Wednesday. Bankruptcy and Patent Litigation are free slots, but I'm guessing I'll take them next Monday and Friday, respectively. I've got a decent outline written down for Fed Courts, but that's the one class I was actually able to follow. Patent Litigation was taught by an adjunct professor who, although a nice guy with a lot of stories, didn't really teach as well as some of my better professors.
