They've been from Halo 2, as far as I could tell. One that seems to be used a lot (for good reason) plays at the beginning of High Charity, with the synthesizer beats and whatnot.

Edit: I think its Pursuit of Truth, but I'm not 100%. At any rate, there's not enough In Amber Clad. Need more.

No, it's definitely Halo 2 music. I've been replaying H2 a lot recently, and I've been listening to the podcasts for the first time this week, and it's definitely material from H2.

Volume 1 was released before the game. Unfortunately, it really didn't feature a complete score and most of the tunes had been heard in some form or another. All of the best music was saved for Volume 2, which was released much later.

For some reason I remember no such thing. I don't ever remember playing a GAF clan. There was a GAF clan for Halo 2? Anyways, if you did play Team Jesus, I for sure wasn't there which means there were probably like two TJ's in the game.

Amen as far as the Beta Carbine goes. I cried a little when Bungie said they nerfed it in one of their podcasts.

yeh right man. bungie saved itself from the massive classaction lawsuit had they kept the beta carbine. you know how many people would get carpal tunnel from pressing a button six times in a few seconds?

no joke but i'm relieved that their gonna balance the carbine and br. about a week into the beta i stopped using the carbine because my finger hurt.

Frank is pretty lethal with the Carbine. He has incredible right hand speed.

But here is the news worthy part. With leaks recently of Bioshock and Stranglehold for the 360 by retail chains, GameStop has decided to impose strict penalties for employees who open the shipping cartons before the midnight launch. If you break the tape, even if by accident, you will be fired on the spot. It doesn't matter if you are an hourly peon or the store manager...or even the district manager. If you break the tape, you will be fired.

I can't say I blame the organization for doing this, though I felt the accidental thing was a bit too far. I mean accidents happen, right? And just because you accidentally break the tape on the shipping carton doesn't mean you're gonna sell the game early, right? So I called GameStop corporate, and the lady on the other end confirmed just that. Even accidental cases of breaking the tape will be met with firing.

Even though they toned down the Carbine in a couple of ways, I hoped they kept or improved the base accuracy from the beta. It would be pretty ideal if I could counter snipers with it, but only if I was smart with the trigger.

In general, trigger rhythms were something I really enjoyed in the beta. From burst firing the AR and PR to slamming that trigger for the carbine.
