OK so i went out and looked at tv's

best buy has a thing that if you do credit then 0% for 36 months.

i was looking at the 32" samsung newer model till i saw the 40" samsung 1080p 15000-1 contrast. was 1899.00 m8s refresh or something like that.


should this be more then enough tv for halo and hopefully any and all HD needs for the next 5-10 years?
 
anyone who gets to play it early regardless if they are major media [ign ect] or indpendant or blogger are under NDA from my understanding

even if someone played it and wasnt doing a review per se im pretty sure they cant talk about it until the embargo lifts, even a comment like "its better than halo 2" would be out of bounds

I have the 40" samsung LN-T4061F and the Beta looked great on it.

I would go the projector route if possible. I did and I don't regret it at all. The picture is so huge and looks awesome. I have the infocus 4805. Its ED not HD but still looks great and much easier to move around compared to a tv that size.

assuming this is a lcd, you should be fine

i personally do not like LCDs and went the 56 inch 1080p Samsung DLP route back in June and have zero regrets...maybe the best purchase in my life

now if only my 360 had HDMI [The PS3 was a huge difference between hdmi and component]
 
Wow, you guys checked that latest Halo 3 promo thing on gametrailers? The one with the chief holding a sticky, and the classical music(chopin?) playing, shit that was awesome. I dont want to link it though, some of you freaks would probally consider that a spoiler i guess.
 
wow, I almost clicked that halo 3 ending thread on halo3forum.com. has anyone been brave enough to click that thread and see the treasures therein?
 
Yeah no kidding that pic looks like total shit. I don't get the reports of the game looking a lot better than beta if it still has that amount of jaggies. Really really hope it is a bit more cleaned up than that.

I was on my 360 dashboard and I selected on one of the Halo 3 advertisements. Takes you to a bunch of Halo 3 info like events, promotions, trailers and stuff. One of those is called "Expand Your LIVE Experience." Select that then select "Online Game Play" scroll down and one subject is "Clans", says its on option for ranked matches. Clans plz?

i already have a 61" rear projector (not HD)

i really want something to show this off. i am even thinking of kustom painting my 360 Halo theame next week and throwing it on ebay to get the funds to get an Elite so i can get the HDMI cables (how big a difference will it make?)


ok, will i notice any difference with the 32" 720 set compared to the 1080 40" set???

enough to make it worth the xtra 700 bones?

also you tech heads, should i get the 4 year warrenty best buy offers on the set for 200 more? or are these baby's pretty good to go without.

I have no idea how Halo 3 will end, but it would be pretty nuts if Chief did die at the end. It would be a pretty powerful and sad ending no one would forget.
But am I a horrible person for hoping Cortana dies or gets erased or whatever?

Main characters dying in stories is more common than you think. It's only powerful if done right.
