We will not take this act of war lying down. At this time, we are beginning a counter-offensive, that will strike at the heart of the leakers nerve center, using shock and awe tactics, 500 pound bomb salvos and tomahawk missle barrages. We hope that we will defeat this scourge, and prevail.

I also come to you, asking you to carry on as you did before this action. If you change your lifestyle, the leakers win. The leakers are not only attacking the internets, but our way of life.

can't believe this game comes out in 2 weeks. every other system has to wait at least another month or two for its big holiday blockbuster. I envy halo fans right now.

What's the point, when in two weeks your life will be reduced
(or is it expanded?)
to Halo anyways?

I'll spend the two weeks showering my girlfriend with love and getting a head start on whatever work tasks I have the week after 9/25. Once Halo 3 hits, it's bail out time on them. :lol

That battle scene looks promising. At first, I thought the concept behind the ads seemed kinda weird, but if that shot is any indication, then they could turn out to be pretty darn interesting.

It's a museum, far into the future long after the events of Halo 3, and an old man remembering the war where he fought alongside the Master Chief. That's a diorama (miniature) of the battle like you might see in a museum.

Awesome, I like.
 
So the diagram in the commercial is based on an ACTUAL BATTLE in Halo 3... Can you EFFING IMAGINE what the Covenant force must be like to warrant that many marines. THIS IS GONNA BE HUUUUUUUUUUGE.

They still look like plastic, even if it is supposed to be some sort of computer simulation replaying the battle.

I sure hope so. Halo had the most epic battles, but Halo 2 totally screwed up on that front

Judging by these screens, these ads are going to be KICK-ASS! The thoughts are whizzing in my head as to how the commercial itself will play out. I can't wait!

I just hope nothing story-wise is revealed. :(

Its a shoot inside that display case the old guy is looking into. It is a miniature of a battle.

Oh, I see. I thought it was some sort of a computer re-creation of the battle. Sounds more futuristic than a diorama.
 
That diorama and seeing the mood MS is trying to evoke with the ad, the premise no longer seems silly. Can't wait to see the commercial.
 
This reminds me of Battlestar Galactica, with Adama in deep thought, gazing over his model ship...

I'm really hyped to see these videos too. It is a cool way to approach them.
 
Holy shit that commercial sounds amazing. If it shows actual battles than thats even cooler.

Image playing the game and coming up to an area that looks familiar from those ads. You just know shit is gonna do down.

That's not the commercial. It's a different video. Good thing, too.

The "Believe" ads are a separate entity.

No kidding. The tone is what's really going to set this apart from the other commercials. I imagine that the battle scene itself will take place as the marine is talking in the background. I really want to see how the studio in charge handled the idea.

Who exactly is making this again? Is it the ViDoc people, or someone new to Halo?
