Already done, for the most part. Not as complete as what you sound like you want, though.

Yeah, I know - Stoney did an awesome job on that.

Since everyone just throws their reviews and impressions in this thread though, I was thinking of going through this 300 page monster and pulling out review posts and having the links thrown in the OP though.

Ok I know this isn't the place so can somebody help me?

Can somebody please help?

I actually started to get into Eliminate a little bit. The game isn't that good, but everyone online is so bad that I still find fun in shooting people in the face and getting 1st place every round. I'm about level 6 now, and totally out of energy. There's no way I'm buying more, though if they would throw in an option to permanently buy the game for $10 or so I'd be all over it. Oh well.

Anyone else having fun with Eliminate?

The small issue with those reviews, is that they might be outdated. Most of these games seem to have been updated with new versions that could of fixed those issues.

Man, I'm starting to love this thing again.. just when I think it's time to give up on it.

Recently I've been playing Dungeon Hunter and Wolfenstein RPG (picked them up again, after putting them off for awhile), Jet Car Stunts, Auditorium, DOOM Classic, and - of course - Drop7.

Dungeon Hunter remains addictive as always. Wolfenstein RPG is just as brilliant as when I first picked it up. Easy, FUN, accessible turn-based gameplay built around an already-solid premise. Jet Car Stunts is a masterpiece - incredible graphics and good controls/gameplay make it one of the best games on the App Store yet. Auditorium was great on the web, and now having a mobile version with more levels is great. DOOM Classic - I can't believe I didn't buy this before! Such an awesome little surprise. I can't get me enough DOOM! Last but now least, my #1 most played game ever on my iPod Touch - Drop7. This is seriously my favorite puzzle game in existance. It never gets old and the gameplay only gets better with experience.

And so, Flunkie falls in love once again..

That minisquadron looks ace, looks like another game to buy :lol

By brother and friends had their first proper app approved today, I think it's pretty slick but then I may be a little biased!
The official site explains what it is about (think Gravity Wars). Site has screens & video if you are curious. http://www.bombardiersguild.com/

If anyone is willing to give it a go then I'll pass your feedback back onto the developers, I'm sure they'll appreciate it :)

Free download if anyone wants it - F9F7Y7MXL7W7
Be nice to know your thoughts if you use it.

Ravensword is very much a handheald oblivion, don't expect a super ton of things to do but it has a semi-open world and it does not hold your hand, you have to talk to people to find out where to go next or get hints on where to go.

Only 3 hours in but for £4 it is well worth it.

Man i should have bought geodefense regular instead of swarm. It's okay but there's too much shit going on and it's as if the game assumes that you played the previous one (lack of tutorial and explanation of the turrets).

Huh, kinda shocked no one else grabbed this. Thanks! I'll give it a shot as soon as it's downloaded. :)

On the subject of Blocked, is that like Layton in that the blocks can move anywhere, or like that car game where they can only be moved in a straight line?

Like the car game, they can only move forward and back or left and right depending on their position.

Has Lumines been removed from the AppStore? I can't find it..... Yesterday, the lite version got an update but now it seems gone.

I got it before it was removed. The controls are better, but I still had a few instances of things happening in the game that I didn't intend to happen because of the controls. The biggest problem for me is the controls for moving a piece down. It's not simply looking for downward movements from your finger, it seems to be looking for a specific flicking gesture. I naturally move my finger down the screen as I'm playing, expecting the pieces to move down with my movements. Instead it waits for you to do some variation of their pre-defined flick movement that tells the piece to fall at whatever rate they set as "fast" until it comes in contact with another piece.

It'd be nice if they got rid of the flick, and just let you touch the screen anywhere to control movements in all 3 directions.

I told you it was a phase. ;)

anyway I just bought monopoly classic off the nzstore. I wante some old school monopoly so gave been holding off for this. However, the board is the us board (I want the uk board). Strange, seeing as the screens even show the uk board. I wonder I you can change them? I tried changing my time zone, but no dice.

Holy crap, Mini Squadron is unreal! It really is just like both Wings of Fury and (more closely) that CGA Sopwith Camel game that I had in the mid-80s:

Bought Jet Car Stunts too, but not really feeling that yet.

Does Mini Squadron control well? I am extremely skeptical of virtual joystick controls on the iphone yet the game looks like a blast.

Ridiculously well. It doesn't suffer from the same issue as other joypad-type games whereby if you go outside the boundary of the d-pad it stops working. Annoys the shit out of me with a lot of games.

I didn't check very far back to see if this is old news, if so I apologize in advance.

BargainBin just notified me that Beneath a Steel Sky: Remastered is now 99 cents.

NINETY NINE US CENTS. BUY NOW.

Thanks for the heads up, heard of the game but never played it.

Edit: Weird, tried to download but it keeps saying something about it being modified and I can't download it.

Edit: After a couple hours I got it to work, strange.

How's command & conquer, guys?

I doubt this game caught many people's attention, but it's one that I play a lot on the iPhone: Diabolika, from Derek Yu (http://www.derekyu.com) and Jon Perry. Basically, it's a puzzle game where you set up monsters, cannons, and rockets to explode demons. I reccomend you at least download the original games (freeware) to see if you like them (there is a mirror on Derek's site, as well as a direct link to Diabolika II, PC only) or check out gameplay on YouTube. $2 but my purchase is justified knowing Derek may make more iPhone games...

Derek Yu (Spelunky, Aquaria)... played Diabolika 2 on the PC like mad years ago... then forgot about it, remembered it today and bang, found it on the appstore. For a while I thought I could program it myself , but this is not necessary any more... hm Spelunky would be great on the iphone, no?

the appstore is really crowded (no review of the game in the german store, and this is a really great game... nobody noticed). Will write it myself! btw it is not a match-3 game of any kind. you do not match colors. you lay down traps and kill demons, f**yeah!

cheers

You can create a US account though.
But doesn't changing account and having to re-sync your device just wipe what was already on there? such as game saves and videos? Main reason why I not tried it.

You know what I would love to see? a Chip's Challenge clone.

Sup people. :D

Just wanted to let out a final bit of shameless bragging -- mine and, here on GAF, Bliddo's, game is out!

We did it with other great people that do not dwell this forum but also with help from Haunted (translations), Stoney Mason (critics, concept testing) from NeoGAF.

A few references:

English web page
iTunes linkie

A few promo codes:
94K4THHKW9KF
PWTNPH7AKYJH
XRKMT4XWWAWH

(Haunted, Stoney Mason and Leonsito: your codes are on the way to your PM / mail, please don't use the above)

Please enjoy! Feedback and rating of course always welcome.

In case of problems with the game don't forget you can PM me or just discuss here, I will monitor the thread (although tomorrow, saturday for me in Europe, I'll be away from the net).

Will first have to see how many are needed for reviewers.. If I can spare others, I'll post them here in the future. Sorry!

To Costanza et al: cheers!
