thanks Rolento! Grabbing DI now --

We demo'd our new game at PAX East (was hoping to launch for the show), to many satisfied would-be customers. Hopefully we can wrap-up the coding by next week.. wish me luck!

Devil Invasion is free today?

I can't recommend this game enough. Get it now.
I'm definitely enjoying it. I'm bored of tower defense games but the way DI does it is pretty slick. I also love the engrish. Don't know if it's deliberate or not but it's hilarious at times!

Sorry, but I have zero interest in a game which still comes up as Devil...vasion on my home screen >:( I bought it before and deleted it because of this problem.

I'm just glad that the dev's name isn't shown anywhere on the Home screen... "TouchMine". That one would be hard to explain to folks.

So, my game "Super Search 60" is being promoted today on FreeAppADay.com. Any new players who sign in via Facebook connect will get 999 free minutes of play.

It's sort of a hidden object game, but crazy fast paced. I've been getting really great reviews, and have built a nice community of regular players, but there's plenty of room for more...

Please NeoGaf help me reach the top of the charts! :)

Ha! One Dot Enemies had a nice April's fool joke. At start up it showed a weird error screen. I thought my iPhone died. Nice one!

Does anyone else have strategery? A new update came out that includes online play, but only with people in your adress book. I have an ipod. But it's still possible to play if you know someones username. My screen name is superbank. Send me a challenge please. :)

Some kind of little bug has somehow got under the glass screen protector on my touch, walked to the middle and then died :lol fucking thing won't budge. It's real tiny but makes a visible mark under the screen. I seriously have no idea what it is.

New screen protector I guess! :lol

So, Wolphram-alpha dropped from 50$ to 2$... anyone know what the difference between the app and just using safari? Because math can be as fun as a real game :D

Diablohead said:
Oh it's not the screen protector, I don't use one, but the glass itself :(

Ihad something under my iPone screen once. I thought it was a dead pixel, but when magnified, it was not pixel-shaped. I had to live with it. Eventually, it disappeared - I guess it fell somewhere.

While the idea of Sam & Max on the iPad sounds absolutely awesome to me, the fact that it would end up costing you $60 for the season is enough to undo that hype instantly.

I imagine I would have heard of such a thing already, but I'll ask anyway.

Is there any sort of Zelda-esque adventure game for the platform? I keep jonesing to play a 2-D zelda game and I've already finished Spirit Tracks.

I am really trying to play THPS2, I just cannot do it. Onscreen sticks are terrible.

yeah, for any game that requires speedy controls and precision, I just can’t use on-screen sticks. I know some people can, but I hate ‘em. I just skip over those games.

for slower stuff, I can deal (Final fantasy) but I just don’t have the skills to work them quickly.

I use the accelerometer to steer and the d-pad for tricks and it works surprisingly well for me.

We've finally chosen our game name! I was gonna post about it last week, but I thought it would be better to actually finalize the title art before announcing it.

Thanks everyone that participated!

And even though Mouse Porno didn't get chosen, Tytree will still be getting a copy of the game. :)

My company made The Karate Kid app for Sony Pictures that went live in the store today. There is an iPad version as well (our first iPad app, with more to come). Check it out... It's free!

Hastily/ghettoly updated this to add on some iPad-ability: http://hippotrouble.com/iphonedb/games
"+iPad" is for universal apps, "iPad $" is for separate versions, and "iPad Only"...well I hope you get that one.

After going through and checking all the games on there:
Just two games are universal, while 14 others have separate iPad versions. I didn't check/implement prices but I saw it ranging from same price to...quite a bit more.

Anyone post the (new) Espgaluda II video?

Looks like it's using similar controls as Space Invaders Infinity Gene, and appears to have a new iPhone mode along with the standard, and a few control options (I'm guessing in terms of firing and stuff)...going by the few seconds at the selection screen.

There really isn't that much of a difference on the surface. You get some nice but not necessary features like history and favorites. I would say the experience seems smoother on the app but it's not a necessary purchase unless you're like me and love looking up mathematical equations and statistical data.

It does make me wonder why they were charging $50 for it though.

Wow. It looks utterly insane! Love it.

Just saw your post and downloaded (£1.19). It's sitting here in front of me, just typed in "derivative of e^x" to give it a go, no special "e" characters or "x" as seen in other calculators required, pressed "Go" and it instantly came up with the derivative, plots, the Taylor Expansion (or MacLaurin series about x=0), the indefinite integral, the limit and all sorts of other things. It even shows the steps for calculating the integral. Great stuff. Highly recommended.

And I agree, Maths can be just as much fun as a game.

The last update mentioned a few things that make it better:

Code:
- Native support for the iPad
- [b]Results are cached and available offline in the history[/b]
- [b]Arithmetic is computed instantly in the input field[/b]
- Font sizes for the results are adjustable

iPad + Wolfram Alpha + Articles = pretty damn close to a Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy.

I actually played this last night on a developer's iPhone. It is absolutely stunning. Prepare to be blown away. The new iPhone mode is very nice. I don't know how they've got it so silky smooth, but it is clearly a lot smoother than anything else on the iPhone right now. Cave are programming gods.

I just picked up 'Words with Friends' today (which is just a scrabble clone, right?). It's a really nice game, perfect for the platform, and has a great user interface. I love that I can 'play' whilst I'm getting on with other things, thanks to the push notification. I'm sure there are drawbacks, but so far I'm super impressed with it. (yes, I'm losing in this screenshot... T_T I'm not used to scrabble)

I just released an update for Tumbledrop which should fix unreliable loading on iphone 3G. I'll be submitting 20 more levels for free within the next couple of days. They're all done, there are just a couple of bugs to fix! I'm super proud of the new level designs, they require more 'solving' than the existing levels, and I think they'll drive some people insane.

Are there any good apps for FTPing or otherwise uploading images/photos? I'd really like a convenient way to upload my images for inclusion in posts like this without faffing with iPhoto or email.

I see vampire origins is out but going by touch arcade it's a bit lack luster, after all this dev time too. :(

The game also blatantly tells you part 2 continues the story at the end when you beat it, lol especially when each ep is $7

This and the US release of Deathsmiles are my two most wanted games right now. Bullet overjoy.

Guys any idea when the new iPod touch "4g" will get announced/released? Im in the market for an MP3player/gaming device and the Itouch is perfect but been wondering if to wait for the newest one or get the 3g version. Any rumored abilities like camera for ipod Itouch 4g or something? Sorry if this alittle of topic.

I'd like to know this also. I've got an upgrade available at the moment, but I'd rather wait for the 4G than go and upgrade to the 3GS and have the 4G come out straight after.

cool, so any rumored features or just more space?
New screen of sorts, possibly bigger/better resolution/better response time or something. Thats the last I heard. Expected not to be as mindblowing as the last few updates, but you never know.

So do people find the level of cheating on Words With Friends bad? I was playing the Facebook Scrabble clone for a while (my wife started games and she didn't want to play any more), and I quit once I realized my sister-in-law had magically tripled her vocabulary.

Just went on an EA sale buying spree

Picked up Mass Effect Galaxy, Mystery Mania, The Simpsons Arcade, and Wolfenstein RPG for 99 cents each

Yeah, I quit a game today when I realised they always put down 6-7 tiles. I think the appeal is the 'with friends' that I trust not to be dicks with it. Another game seemed fine though.

A bigger problem is people that stop playing for a long period. One person I was playing with last took a move 8 hours ago. I feel like I'm left hanging somewhat.

Guys what's the name of the game made by Naka ? (already released on JP phones if I'm not mistaken, with a bird or something)

I've decided to make the game that I want to play on iPhone/iPad. I have no idea how long it will take to make but I hope you guys will be interested in watching the development as it progresses.

I'm about to graduate school and I feel its the perfect time to strike. I wont say more now, I don't want to jinx it.

I picked up Cartoon Wars Gunner today and its awesome. Its a survival style game where you use weapons to fight off tougher waves of enemies. The cool part is you can buy new weapons, upgrade weapons, upgrade skill points between waves. Nice little buy for 99 cents, one of my favorite Ipod Touch games.

I picked up Mega Man 2 as well but don't really like it. Hard to control.

Mirrors edge is available on ipad but not iphone? :(
Rather odd to see it delayed for months just to be on the iPad, I guess they wanted a well known game to sell at a high price for a while before a cheaper iPhone version, just a guess.
