I'd like to give some love to (the poorly named) QRANK.

It's a social quiz game - 20 questions a day, of which you play 15. The questions can be extremely current (the ones marked with a leaf are "fresh", as in the past day headlines), they're well written, and it's a fun "daily ritual", as they put it. First quiz game that's really "clicked" for me,

It lets you see how you're doing against your friends as you go. Friends list is unfortunately it's own network, but you can link it to Facebook to pull friends from there.

Also, the price tag is right: it's free.

Go get it. If you want to add me as a friend (since you have to search by email) I'm remydwd at google's email service.

Keeps crashing on me. :/

Anyone else playing EliminatePro? The game has been out for a while, but I just got my iPhone so its still pretty fresh and fun for me. I see some gaffers have the game from my We Rule friends list and I invited others that didn't have it yet.

Zenobia 2 impressions anyone?

Played the first one? Liked the first one? Yes, yes. Then buy Zenonia 2. Otherwise:

- Controls take getting used to. This version allows you to increase size of the virtual d-pad
- Hunger system + damage to weapons/armour. This puts off some; it's no big deal though, if you carry some repair hammers
- Ranged combat is not nearly as effective as melee. The controls get in the way (moving in and out of combat is not very smooth) and mobs reappear pretty quick, so you are likely to get screwed if you are not careful
- Localization is lol
- Quests are repetitive
- AI is laughable

However, I love it :D

Hi all. Have recently purchased myself a Touch, and am looking for a meaty gaming experience to download. What would any of you recommend in the way of JRPGs on the service?

FF1, FF2, and, bizarrely, TNA Wrestling (I don't know a thing about TNA but it's still pretty clever). Don't bother with what little else there is. Games like Zenonia aren't trash but you have to be willing to significantly sacrifice standards to enjoy them.

If you're willing to move outside of JRPGs then Undercroft is a decent (just decent) Dungeon Master clone and Fargoal is a good port of some old Rogue-like, but updated to look nice-ish and playable.

No, you're not the only one. Kung Fu Jedi and I have been pining for this since last fall. So close!!!!

Yeah, we've just gone silent as the wait has been FOREVER.

The wait is nearly over however, as it has been submitted, and is expected to be in the App Store for the iPad launch on Saturday. Yay!

Waaaaait, TNA Wrestling fills the JRPG niche? Please elaborate. My friend got the lite version because of the recommendation and I'm hearing bad nu metal.

It's actually good?

Not sure about the accuracy of the JRPG label but the game is great fun, they did an awesome job with it.

How is "The Quest"
I found the quest to be really good, easy to pick up and play for a while or sink hours into. Nice graphics and ok writing. The game mechanics never get in the way either.

Anyone else playing muBlip?
I dig it a lot. Nice visuals and awesome sounds.
Plays a bit like a cross between Parappa and Ouendan/Elite Beat Agents.

I just bought a new MacBook, is there anyway to get all my Calender events on my IPHONE to my MacBook (iCal) ? Same with Contacts.
Thanks

You can sync both via iTunes but if you have a google account you can set up google exchange and everything is synced/pushed via the internet.

Did you have them on your old computer (and do you still have that)? You can probably export the calendars and contacts to whatever formats iCal and Address Book can take in, or do a whole bunch of different methods through Google.

I'm trying to get an iPhone/ iPod Touch game out by the end of the year. Any sites you can go to if you're looking for people to help get it done?

Are there any good board games other than Catan? Been super addicted even though it's not that great of an implementation (well for the price it certainly is).

I would try out google sync. I switched from Iphone back to a blackberry and it works great. Its a 2 way sync and does it over the air. Then you can either use google apps or export the data to whatever software ya have on your comp. I found Address book and Ical to be spotty for what I was doing.

Heard good things about Hive

Ah yes I have the physical Hive. Maybe I'll grab it since I never really had the chance to develop my skillz on the tabletop (damn pure skill games). I wonder why they made it 3D; I think it'd look better 2D.

What the Hell.

"Hell on Earth II".

I guess someone got sick of waiting for Doom II.

I've only played a little bit so far but I'm not digging it at all. The music is nice to listen to, but the type of music they use along with the length of phrases you have to memorize make it really frustrating to play for me. I really dig music games like Ouendan/Rhythm Heaven/whatever, but muBlip just isn't clicking for me.

I know it's silly, but does zenonia 2 have that 'scaled up' look like it's graphics aren't native to the screen?

Go buy Pocket Informant now. You can thank me later.

Nick Chase: A Detective Story
Website: http://www.bigfishgames.com/download-games/4554/nick-chase-a-detective-story/index.html

Wow, I love this game. Somehow I had never heard of Big Fish Games before, an ultra crazy casual game developer that puts out a billion games a year. This is one of their first Hidden Object Games that incorporates a bunch of other puzzles and adventure game mechanics... AND it's story driven. If you're a fan of film noir or you're looking for a nice, simple, and polished puzzle/adventure game, I HIGHLY recommend this one. You may also want to check out Big Fish Game's latest Mystery Case Files game: Dire Grove available on the PC, not the iPhone. Especially if you dig gorgeous 2D art.

DUDE, thanks for this recommendation, i bought this the other day and it's brilliant. It just reeks of style, I love the noir references, and the VA blew me away for a handheld game. I can't believe how cinematic is feels. AWESOME!

Need way more impressions of THPS2 before I drop $10.

I fugging love PS2, but those virtual controls could be a killer.

Got most of the goals on Hangar so far. Controls aren't bothering me at all.

Runs really well too.

Are you referring to "Devil Invasion"? It's free today and I just downloaded it (though haven't played it yet).
