Got Dungeon Hunter as well and just finished the
Cathedral
level. I'm playing a dual-dagger-wielding rogue focusing on a bit of stealth and quick succesive hits in favour of massive damage.

Game is fun and you get mad amounts of loot, though it is kinda hard to determine whether for example a 'fine sword' with more damage is better than a 'poor dagger' with less damage but with a few magical bonuses. But since the game is pretty easy with the amounts of potions you'll find or buy it doesn't really matter in the end. Still a really fun game though.

Alright GAF, I hope the Big Gaming Developer Honchos in Tokyo have more lined up for the Iphone. I've been play my Iphone, more than the DS and PSP lately, but it ain't teh same if I don't have the "franchise" games that SE, Konami, Capcom, Atlus, NIS, Tecmo on the Iphone in the near future, like 5 years time at least..hope that at least I'll have DQ and FF on the go, while also listening to music or picking up a phone call :p Note: I excluded Nintendo and Sony outta this, cuz obviously, they'll never partner with Steve Jobs in any venture, unless Apple has them with one knee down in the mobile gaming wars.

Can't see Dungeon Hunter in my App Store! :( (Japanese).

I wonder why?... All the other games get uploaded to the Store pretty much at the same time as everywhere else!.

Hi all! We are giving away another code for Peter Und Vlad. Like the last few, you just need to check out and coment on the contest article to enter. you can go here to enter. (yes we have relocated to our very own site!

Oh, and to thank the iPhone GAF for the support that has helped the site grow so fast, I want to give away a Dungeon Scroll Code just to one of you! Just let me know if you are interested, and I will DM the code to you when i get back from walking my awesome mini doxie!

Dungeon Scroll is an aswesome game, and shoulud be a MUST BUY even if you don't win.
good luck, and thanks everyone!

I cannot imagine Ghosts'n'Goblins being anywhere near fun on the iPhone. I know lots of people are probably vehemently against the idea, but I'd gladly pay a few bucks for a controller attachment. The hardware is obviously very capable, and as far as portable gaming devices the App Store is unrivaled at this point, but it kind of sucks when I see something I'd normally love (like say Mega Man 2) and pass on knowing it controls like a dog.

1. Sucks I paid $2.99 for Aera

2. Lite version of Gangster: West Coast is out

3. Glad I didn't pay for Gangster: West Coast.

Hi, How Are You? has grown on me quite a bit. It started off slow, but is getting fun. I'm surprised how good the frame-rate/ overall smoothness of the whole thing is.

Also thanks for the heads up about Aera, downloading now!

Does Gameloft ever put their games on sale? Dungeon Hunter looks pretty dope.

Yes they often do, and drop in price quickly sometimes.

NFL 2010 went for $8 to $3 within a few weeks.

Everyone do yourselves a favor and buy Dungeon Hunter. It's freaking fantastic. I've been playing like crazy. Proper Diablo on the go? Yes please!

Note: After you get it (which you will), change it to touch controls in the options menu. The joystick sucks.

What if I don't like RPGs or diablo?

I don't like RPGs in general and hated the original Diablo when I tried it a few years back, but love Dungeon Hunter. But don't go in blindly if you don't like the genre. There's a video up on TouchArcade. Maybe check that out?

OK Relentless Rolento, since no one else is jumping at the chance for a free copy of Dungeon Scroll, I will award it to you! (even though you won another game from us recently :) )

I will PM it to you now.

Dungeon Scroll is an excellent title pefectly suited to the platform, it is certainly worth buying at iut price of only $0.99 if oyu like RPG's or Scrabble. It is an ingenious hybrid of both!

Did you like Diablo II, out of curiosity?

I've honestly only played it for a few hours on a friend's computer. I don't own it, but yeah, it was fun. Maybe it was just from a change in taste in my gaming preferences. I don't know.

I think I'm enjoying Dungeon Hunter as much as I am because I get to spend time with my own Diablo-like game and continue that piqued interest from playing it on the friend's PC.

That said, I bought Dungeon Scroll when it came out, and I love it. Rolentless! Grab the code! It's a great game.

Again thanks man :) I shall play this word adventure :)

Unify is a lot of fun, but most of my time lately has been spent with Fling. Got it when it was free, and man is this one devilishly fun. So simple but some of the later puzzles are hard.

Just tried Lumines - I knew it wouldn't work on a touchscreen :(

Surprised we haven't seen Meteos in one form or another yet. Not that I'd expect that to control particulary well without the accuracy of a stylus but at least it's a touchscreen based game at heart...

Some good iPhone stuff came out of the Tokyo Game Show this weekend.

What could this be? (Hint: Capcom) :D

... on an iPhone? Really? I love the series, but I can't even get excited about this because I know it just won't work.

Capcom, uh, how about Puzzle Fighter? Something that at least has a fair shot of working with iPhone controls.

Of course, they'd probably just go and release Super Street Fighter II X instead.

Holy shit...I was about to buy Lumines but the reviews are HORRIBLE. Is it that bad? ; ;

Ugh... SO many times I find myself attempting to correct my mistakes because the stupid thing does a turn and drop or a shift and drop. The controls are abysmal.

Guys, Unify does work (really good too). It's not the iPhone's fault.

This. Lumines sucks altogether. It feels and looks like a Java cellphone game, and the controls weren't thought out.

It can work. It's not the iPhones fault, it's just a shitty version from top to bottom, inside and out. That's all there is.

I picked up Robocalypse yesterday after trying the Lite version.
Its intro videos actually made me laugh, and the combat seems to be a nice, intuitive Command and Conquer style RTS. The game has a lot of personality and polish, and, from the little I've played, seems to control really well. There are a bunch of silly cartoon sequences with humor that is goofy and dumb, but in a self-aware, funny way.

Highly recommended.

Aaand..the reception was spot on. I played a few rounds, and the game manages to make breaking tackles during a touchdown run as addictive as batting home runs. I can see it possibly getting a bit old if the other challenges don't differentiate that much, but hey, 99 cents.
