Implode is fucking awesome.PhlivoSong said:Thanks for the info. I just bought Crayon Physics Deluxe. On the topic of physics based games, I also bought Implode! last night. It's a game where you are given a structure and you have to try to take it down with dynamite. You're given certain types/amounts of dynamite to use, and of course your explosion is rated based on various things. Fun game.

I had the same issue when I bought GTACW. I had to reset the thing to factory settings; I've tried everything else to no avail, that was my last resort and it worked.Dreamwriter said:Surprised nobody's suggested this yet: reboot the device. As in, hold the reset button in until you are given the option to turn it off, do so. Once it's fully off, turn it back on. This makes sure memory is clear - when the iPhone is running low on memory, it shuts down the currently running app, and if the app allocates a lot of memory right at the start, you may never see anything beyond the initial screen (which shows up while the app is loading into memory). For some *very* memory-intensive games such as X-Plane 9, it's suggested that you always reboot the machine before playing.

Long as your account is signed in on itunes just go find the app and click to buy/download it like normal, it will ask to confirm and then tell you after clicking to buy it that you already own it.Nafai1123 said:Question: I had to restore my phone and lost a couple apps that I hadn't synced with my computer. I think some apps have save data server side but I think it's kinda rare. They either have an account setup or they just automatically tie the save data to your device ID (which acts as an automatic login kind of).jonnybryce said:I could swear that some apps remember things or settings, but I may just be going crazy. As for games, though, your saves will be gone.

Personal rule of thumb, for me anyways, is anything that "Marimbafies" well. What this means is take a VG song, and make it sound like a stock ringtone. For example, here is a custom Marimba take on Rosalina's Observatory and Godot's theme. Another thing to keep in mind is to make sure that the main part of the tone does not exceed 11 seconds, that way you can hear all of the main part and still be able to answer the call before it's too late if you are one of those types of people. I personally let most of my tones (I have hundreds BTW) go on for the full 40 seconds so they can be used as good alarms as well! Chiptunes don't usually work well due to the tinny speaker, so try to fine-tune it with audacity. Here is an example of fine-tuning at work with tones based from the note board from Game & Watch Gallery, and Run Run Run from Gameboy Camera. The "fix" can be something as simple as adjusting the pitch ever so slightly, though I sometimes adjust tempo as well so it fits the 11 second mark. I hope these little tips have helped you out, and feel free to ask me any more question on ringtones should you need any help.MidnightScott said:I didn't know where to post this...
But what game music do you recommend turning into a ringtone?
I just turned Vs. Ho-oh from HG/SS into one, and Pursuit Overtaken from Ace Attorney 4
There are still no plans to release it anywhere else, right?red shoe paul said:Taiko No Tatsujin out in JPN iTunes store.

Thanks. I usually do that but for some reason I must have done it wrong here.Remy said:Disable the music in the Options menu and your music library will continue playing when you launch the game.

Only thing I don't like is the Banjo music, it's fitting but ...it's banjo music :S

Just out of interest, why isn't there a football (soccer) variant of this game yet?Mario said:We just made Flick Kick Field Goal free for 24 hours to celebrate the Super Bowl.
If you do grab the game, make sure to rack up some online high scores in Sudden Death mode as we are running a competition for a $100 iTunes voucher.

Would seem pretty simple to apply the same basic principles to a football free-kick game. Could even have a wall of players to add a bit more variety.
