Good luck finding 3 non griefers if you just want to play random games on the 360 with this game since you can't toggle friendly fire...hooray for friend list.

Demo is still not up but what else is new.
 
I can't wait to play this on the 360. Had the PC demo since launch and I've put a good 15 hours just on that.

By the way, L4D demo (on 360 or PC) means instant free Lan party awesomeness. You could kill a whole night with your buds just playing the free demo over and over, and never get bored. And there's no problem of trying to get people together who all own the same game, etc.
 
I'm thinking of doing some videos/images of the X360 demo, but is that already posted in this thread? I went a couple of pages back and didn't see anything (excluding Youtube).
 
So, does anyone know if by downloading the demo I get common files of the full game that I won't need to redownload again? Kinda like when Source games share files.
 
Does anyone want to do any comparison pics on PC? I can capture 720p shots on Xbox 360, so it would be nice to compare any 720p shots from the PC version.
If so, images where there aren't like 20423 zombies on screen since it's hard to re-do.

I guess I can capture the first ones and then someone can just find the same spots on the PC version, or the other way around.

I'm not sure, but I'm thinking not, since the full game doesn't have like 10% preloaded thanks to the demo.


Edit: Just checked, L4D demo uses a seperate ncf file.
 
I need someone to talk me down from not liking this game. I think it's the crappy demo's fault, but can't be sure.

I'll start at the top... The guns suck ass. There's 5 in the demo, 2-5 more if you count other shit you can use. The game has 20 total? I can't imagine what they can put in to make the gunplay satisfying. The SMG is horrible, the sniper rifle baffling. The shotguns are merely alright. They don't have an ounce of oomph though.

The game is too fucking easy. Getting knocked down extending your HP bar is the most ridiculous thing ever. It's also boring, all you can do is shoot a bunch of zombies with your pistol. And the sounds give away bosses waaaaaaaaaay too much. Being able to hear them and knowing the map well enough makes them incredibly trivial. Fuck, that's half the reason I like tanks. Although maybe I never heard their tell because they are so rare.

Also the zombies just suck in general. They aren't the least bit dangerous, and killing them feels more like a chore than a game. Were the 5 boss monsters confirmed to be all she wrote?
 
I noticed that the pipe bomb doesn't explode when there are no zombies around. It just beeps to a climax and then suddenly disappears. Anybody else get that?

Perhaps it's time for an upgrade; software rendering on a Pentium II while controlling with a gummed up trackball just doesn't do this game justice.

I kept telling you to restart from the beginning so we could get to the subway with more health instead of wasting the ones in the safehouse just to heal up at the start. But nooo.. :/

No idea, I joined a quick 360 game. I think it must have been pretty low because at one point i turned around to see around 30 enemies just clawing at me and i barely took a bit of damage.

Really, Gears 2 horde mode does everything L4D does but much better and its not even a main mode.

Well there is your problem. Start up an expert game with some people from your friend list.
 
Im Downloading now, too. The German Demo is very cutted. The Zombies and Survivor has green blood, no ragdoll and something others thing that are to brutal for us german.

Pretty much. You guys were all breaking in and out, couldn't make out whole sentences, just pieces. "Restart" was not one of them. :lol

Doesn't the game use dedicated shit? Or is that not for friend games?

Anywho, we will do it tonight. We must. (Especially since it's not lookin' like ME will be with me today. Keke.)

But yeah, raYne 100% right. GotF. I expected lots and it delivered. Knock any single aspect all you please, but fun factor is king, and L4D is a Tank in that respect.

Try it on expert co-op, then reevaluate it.
