Yeah. They do an excellent job of aiding you in useful ways. The only thing I find myself communicating is: BEHIND! or ABOVE!

Still, it goes to like 2 fps (literally) at DX8 level on my integrated card and I have no clue why. Every other source game runs at like 60fps at that level, but not this one.

Crap I hope they patch that or something...I bought it for my girlfriend for her birthday (loves zombie themed media) so I could spend "time" with her (LD relationship)
 
Expert is epic. So much harder and a step up but it feels a natural progression.

I can usually cruise through advanced now, normal is a breeze and easy is like being invincible but Expert is a real challenge.

That was way too much fun. I hated having to quit without beating it on expert though. I think we need to make better use of our explosives.

I let the game sit at the title menu while I went to get a drink, only to come back to two zombies having a fist fight in the middle of the street. :lol
 
My team made it to the second safe house on expert! Well, I died during the warehouse battle, but the rest of my team survived. I managed to waste a horde of zombies with the minigun before succumbing to attacks from behind. What a rush expert is!

After not being able to find a dedicated server (playing on PC), I decided to host the game. I figured if a 360 could host a game, then my rig should handle it. It was great for me, and no one left, so I'm hoping their experience wasn't too laggy.
 
To anyone having trouble connecting to a game via the matchmaking, type "openserverbrowser" into the console and you get the old style server listings.

I've seen something similar. Fight between a man and a woman zombie. The girl kicked the guy's ass. He threw up, and fell to the ground dead. She then turned to me and attacked.

Anywho, I am kind of confused on the presence of the hunting rifle.

While I'm sure it's good for other, open levels, both the assault rilfe and auto-shotty are just extensions of the old tier weapons.

As was mentioned earlier, I think, I'm hoping that the 10 new weapons includes some decent diversity.
 
Sounds like it's time to get around to my annual routine of throwing a wad of cash at Valve.

Wonder how long it'll take for some intrepid mapper to convert some Half-Life scenarios. And for Gmod to add support so Lyon can treat us to RED's campaign against the zombie apocalypse. :D

Don't discount the hunting rifle. Picking off bosses and zombies at long range helps so damned much.

It's my new favorite weapon. :D

So...how the fuck are they balancing the bosses for vs? I got tagged by a smoker/hunter combo and I was killed in less than a few seconds(on expert).
 
Lots of big billboard ads for Left 4 Dead in Los Angeles. Pretty cool since you don't usually see big ads for video games while driving down the freeway here.

Yeah, it's basically one shot kills from wherever and gives you the ability to zoom in and take them out one by one without alerting the ones in the kill area.

The latter is probably boring for the rest of the group, but it's a life saver on expert.
 
Just got off of playing an Expert game with Nickydafish and poweld. Epic, EPIC stuff. After failing half a dozen times we barely made it the last time into the last area and what's waiting for us there? A FUCKING TANK. Wiped out all four of us with almost no effort.

The AI director is a mean mean man... :/

Full game is going to be bad as hell.
 
My first demo play through with a party of XBL randoms was surprisingly awesome.

We ran into a witch in the subway and subsequently had a deep and thoughtful 3 minute discussion about whether or not we engage the enemy. We took her on and prevailed in the end, although we ended up being down one brave soul

Depends how you want to play it, as well.

If you care about online splitscreen with a buddy, then 360 is a wise choice as well. That's what I'm doing.
 
Just beat expert finally with saelz. Was fun.

Hunting rifle is my favorite. Can clear areas before moving. :D And it's pretty darn powerful, really only takes one hit on anything. Except Tank.

Also, I solo'd a tank on expert a few games earlier, my team cheering me on, and declaring to have my babies. Wish I recorded a demo or something.
 
It took me a while to figure out but the AI director really forbids you to stop and pop. Any time we take too long to pick off straying deadbies, we'll get ambushed on all sides with a millions and a hunter or smoker to top it off.

FUCKING awesome!

Also, this game once again makes me wish I had a beast of a PC. I maxed all the settings at 1920x1200 and it looked amazing. Too bad I was getting 0 fps.
