Wish I could find my harddrive so I could play this.
Try adding Steam and the steam games as exceptions in windows firewall.Fonds said:Right, problem:
I can't see any servers in steam, not for TF2, not for L4D, not for anything. Now I'm on campus internet and need to contact the provider to ask them to open some ports (don't have access to the router myself). Cause I think that's what's causing trouble. What ports need to be forwarded though? Or are ports not the problem?

I've had the same kind of problems and it has helped to add exceptions.Fonds said:I turned off the firewall entirely, just for laughs, but that didn't help either.

Hopefully going to play through again later today on a higher difficulty with a friend online. Definitely buying.

I don't know what it was, but the game just didn't agree with me. It felt... Disconnected from everything. Little to no feedback, gun sounds had no 'oomph' to them, typical stickiness to the movement that is common with source. The zombies had no interesting element to them. They just come at you in waves like one shot kill ships in a side scrolling shooter. Walk and fire, walk and fire.
I'm hoping the 4 player co-op will make the game as awesome as I expected all of the game to be, single player included. And I'm still buying it for that feature alone. But for now, colour me very disappointed. I was so hyped for this game.
According to Steam, I've played the demo (which takes about 20 minutes) for over 4 hours. I would say yes. Honestly, I sometimes feel like I'll get bored with the game, but then we hop into another round and I forget all about it.Rez>You said:Soooooooooooo......
The replay value is as high as I've been led to believe by previews I take it?

Pyroteknikz said:I don't know if this was posted yet, but if you type "thirdpersonshoulder" in console, it gives you a RE4 type third person view. It's pretty awesome but I find it a bit harder to aim for some reason.
Once you play co-op, I think you'll forget entirely that there is even a single player component to the game. Furthermore, I don't think there's a damn thing wrong with that. The game focuses its strengths into the co-op play and I'd much rather that than it try to please everyone with a beefed up single player experience (which would ultimately detract from the co-op experience).Mar_ said:Well yeah. I was expecting to like this in single player as well, and I didn't. I think that's a legitimate complaint.

You do? It seems like everytime im shooting I end up popping a teammate in the back. >.<
Sorry to all the gaffers i've played with and ended up shooting them when those giant hordes would rush us!

If i do end up incapacitating them, I'll make my best effort to clear all zombies surrounding them and get them back up A.S.A.P, and give them my health packs/pills.
Uh, why? They always said the game was entirely centered around co-op and versus, with the single player just being AI co-op.Mar_ said:I guess it comes down to expectations. I expected there to be a robust single player experience along with the amazing multiplayer.
This game is like a sandbox for griefers.......Giganticus said:my new favourite thing to do is no longer molotoving safe rooms, but to shoot everyone else and close the safe room door while I wait for them to slowly die.
drake foiled my plan last game though![]()
Seriously. I play for a good hour, and get sick of it. Then another hour later I get the urge to play again and I'm loving the hell out of it. And this is only one and a half maps!fallout said:According to Steam, I've played the demo (which takes about 20 minutes) for over 4 hours. I would say yes. Knox said:I dunno if it's been mentioned, but playing with random people is actually kinda cool in this game. I mean, that's kinda how it would down in a real zombie apocalypse, you'd just have to work with whatever retards survived.
