I want it to run Starcraft II and L4D on max settings with a solid framerate (over 60fps).
How much does that cost? I'm willing to spend $800 on it.
bob_arctor said:I think this goes without saying. When I was a huge CS nut I scoffed @ the Xbox version but ended up playing it just because that's what my friends were getting. Same thing for me with Left 4 Dead--I'd much rather play it on a PC for the better overall community and inevitable mods but all my friends are strictly 360, so that's where I'm playing as well. Not only that, I don't even have a serviceable PC @ home currently, and even if I did, I wouldn't have the time to play online like I used to with CS (was pulling about 7 hours a day at one point for an entire summer) so 360 version is perfect for me since it will be in short bursts and only with a few friends.
But I do long to see it on a good PC. And to play it with a mouse & kb.
You have much to learn.ItsInMyVeins said:Well, lately I've started playing a lot more on the PC since I got a new PC. I still prefer the matchmaking system of COD4 on X360 to the typical PC FPS list of rooms, though![]()

Akia said:The problem is that I don't have a monitor either. I pretty much use my Powerbook G4 primarily when I'm at school. The old gaming pc I built in 2002 for Warcraft III is at home and in use by my bro. So essentially I'm starting from scratch. I'll probably have to end up spending a grand total since I would like a wide screen 24inch monitor.
Zzoram said:24" is monster, I have 22" and it's plenty gigantic enough. Plus 22" monitors are $100+ cheaper.

You might be able to do it with console commands but not through the main UI. Game previews have mentioned that this would be one of the worst ways to practice as the boss zombies since the survivor AI is generally very adept at taking them down on thier own. No stragglers, good raction time, no panicking, etc.Phloxy said:Anyway to play as undead vs the bots?

I've played both versions. And both play extremely well if you are versed in that kind of shooter. The 360 turn speed is perfectly tuned, your characters are responsive, and the button lay-out is great. You can't really go wrong with either version, unless you require the PC specific advantages, but as for just the game itself, both versions are phenomenal.Lonestar said:Dammit, I don't know how my Computer will handle L4D. I was just going to get the 360 version, but...I don't know![]()
I agree. The extent to which that image is used completely wrong is just staggering. It's an angry clap because something he worked for is a complete and embarrassing failure and even then, I know I'm missing nuances that should be stated.GameGamer said:Never!!!!!
It is the worlds most famous and influential movie. So I don't think it's out of line to bring up when someone uses it completely wrong.
Unless the person was trying to seriously insult Valve?
I saw the post as a serious slam on Valve : P
A gif is a powerful thing!

I'm actually not as angry as that sounded, but it is a miss fire for the image. And it's such a fantastic movie that more people need to see it anyway.TheOneGuy said:Geez, it's just an internet gaming forum.
I'm pretty sure he knows she's terrible and is going to have to deal with the fallout. That's the interpretation I took from it and the look of anger seems to prove it, though you could say that was him being angry that she was being heckled.Goreomedy said:It's a deluded clap. maybe they'll even let you see your own reflection in the next game! i'm also glad that since TF2 at least Valve have realized that having your character speak isn't the end of the world.Pop On Arrival said:It's also the first valve game that shows you your feet when you look down. I will play on both.

The Mod community. There has already been a mod that allows you to play through Ravenholm.Shoogoo said:Yep, nobody can disagree on thisbut is there any other reason which make the pc version better than the 360 one?
