Man, I really want to read the rest of this thread to figure out what I've missed. 200+ pages is ridiculous. Hope I'm not missing anything too important.
finally got What Are You Trying to Prove? tonight so I guess if I do campaigns it'll just be for fun. although I do feel like expert campaigns can be more fun than vs sometimes. I've finally gotten to where I don't use the auto shotgun at all anymore, so when it's nerfed I can at least use the AR or even the sniper, despite its suckiness.
I can't fucking stand the kicking option in this game. I know it serves a good purpose when you need to get rid of an asshole, but it's become an annoyance. I get kicked often because morons 1, 2, and 3 are buddies and they happen to kick anyone who they don't know. This happens often on Live.
Yup. Play long enough and you'll be kicked for all sorts of various stupid reasons. Seems to happen more so in L4D.
You can just randomly start vote kicking people and it'll pass. People just tend to vote yes for whatever reason. Once I joined a server and immediately started a vote kick for the hell of it, and it passed.

I was playing versus and the other team (of 3) kept kicking anybody who joined to be their 4th. They wanted to keep their 4th as a bot which was annoying. They didn't make it out of the finale on BH.
I also finally got All 4 Dead last night. I rarely get to play as a tank and have had multiple games of versus where the other side gets tanks and my team didn't. It was gratifying because I only had to use my fists and a few rock throws (no cars). However, it only worked that well because the other team wasn't that good. I'll take it anyway!

He tried to convince his friends to buy it for their PCs as well, so he would always have a solid foursome to play. Fast forward to now, where only half of the people he wanted actually bought the game. His "PC" is a 4-year old Dell laptop with an INTEGRATED video card, so he has to turn down nearly every setting to make it playable. I tried it once, and it really chugs along. Meanwhile, I have been playing on the 360 with one of my friends, but not very regularly--we just wish my roommate would have made the right call.

oh man, played a great game of vs on No mercy last night, stranger team was working well, everyone supported each other, really nailing them when we were infected (hunter claw works really well)
however, on the finale, after we destroyed them all and they didn't escape 2 of the guys were 'hey check out this neat thing and got under the ramp the other player was an idiot who quickly died so I couldn't go with him, I could either be a ramp dick guy or just get slaughtered on my own.
So I tried it out wow what a boring cheap easy win that pretty much ruined the game. I'd never done it before so I didn't realise it was just a win button. Nothing can do anything to you! Even the tank is a piece of cake.
Real shame that the otherwise great players chose the easy win. However it's always the way with a glitch like that. Dude probably discovered it and thought he was on to a 'secret' or something.

I have taken out a team that did try that though. It takes some luck and creative tanking. Luckily people have chilled out on it and I haven't seen it for a while.
